I was just over at Funcom interviewing some developers for a documentary and i managed to beg myself a small demonstration of the game. Im not sure how much i am able to say but the game looks to be tons of fun, especially the combat looks very engaging and promising, not stationary and boring. The UI was also very smooth and intuitive while also adressing tons of little problems and irritations i've had while playing for example wow.
The main thing here for me is the game looked like alot of fun to play, i saw it and wanted to try it, to play it. I dont get that feeling with alot of games i see, like for example CoD has 0 pull on me.
All in all looks to be a pretty fresh take on the MMO and RPG genre in several ways and i hope it does really well.
I guess i can answer questions from people about things they've already shown.
Ragnar Tørnquist knows what he's doing. He has won several awards in the past for games he's made, like The Longest Journey and Dreamfall. Age of Conans Gaute Godager has nothing to do with The Secret World, and Funcom have learned from what happened back in 2008, so I do not think a similar scenario will occur.
I've followed this game closely for some time now, and I gotta say that it looks very promising and pretty polished. Still 2-3 months to release but theres gonna be a public display of it at PAX the 6th of april, and I don't think they would show it unless it was finished. (which it is, from what I've seen on the beta tests)
Anyway, I invested A LOT of money in Funcom about a year ago, and its grown almost 150% since then...but I think its gonna go at least twice as that..if its a success, it'll be insane. Anyway, if you have money, and want to make more, you can invest in it at the norwegian stock marked at "Oslo Børs".

The lore looks amazing but the graphics look kinda outdated. I don't judge a game by its graphics but it will have a huge impact on the success overall since for majority good graphics = good game
The premise of this game looks amazing and all the videos are really interesting. Signed up for beta, hoping it's as good as it looks but I'm skeptical.
