Clash is proud to welcome Josh “Edge” Yang into the team
Edge is a player we saw a lot of potential in, and we want to help foster his growth and help him achieve the success we know he's capable of. He's had respectable runs at past MLG events, and qualified for IEM New York during the past IEM season. Here are some of manager Paul "JPEG" Kim's thoughts on our acquisition of Josh.
How do you feel about picking up a player like Edge?
A very good pick up for our team. Edge is a great addition to our Terran line-up. He has not only incredible skill, but also contains the competitive attitude we look for. Hopefully he helps energize our practice efforts even further.
How much do you think he will improve being on the team?
We have great coaching staff, including Chad (ClashDrone) who can really see the game, and help our players practice in a correct manner. I believe that Edge, with his enormous potential, will be able to explode in a few months under our solid practice system.
What about Edge caught your eye that made you want to pick him up as a player?
We've known each other since the summer of the last year. By that time, he was very unrefined player with a lot of sloppy decision making. However, as Edge started devoting his time into Starcraft II, he improved amazingly fast. This enormous potential we've seen from him has captured our attention.
And with this current line up, how well do you think Clash will do in LANS and team events?
We've elevated our team to what we feel is a new level. We've really started taking the team seriously in the past months and are striving hard to improve every facet of the team. With our recent acquisition of Edge, as well as the intensified efforts of all our players, we feel we will be able to put up strong results in upcoming events.
Do you have any plans that you can share for the team?
Team Clash will be actively participating North American events throughout this year, both online and offline. Look for us at major LANs, including the upcoming MLG Winter Championships in Columbus, as well as IPL 4 in Las Vegas.
The team is still fairly new but is getting a fan base, anything you'd like to say to the fans of the team?
Thank you for supporting us and keep looking out for our players as they start to make names for themselves. As a team, all we can ask is that you help us in supporting our players.

I also had a chance to talk to Edge himself about joining the team.
Can you introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about how you are for those that don't know you?
I'm Edge. I play Terran and I'm currently maintaining high masters on the korean server.
My most recent achievement was qualifing for IEM New York, you can find more information about me on Liquipedia
You were just picked up by Clash, what made you decide to join this team?
I liked the terms of my contract and the managers seemed capable.
Clash is a team with great growth potential, which is the main reason i decided to join.
You were in Infinity Seven before Clash, can you tell us about your experience with them?
As for experience, I've participated in ESEA and MLG Anaheim/Columbus as Edge702 while i was with team iS.
What do you expect being on Clash as a team and from yourself?
Joining Clash has been a new motivation for me to practice harder.
I feel like I've already adjusted within this new friendly enviornment.
I expect myself to produce some decent tournament results in the near future.
Any last words to your fans?
Thanks for the interview and let the result speak for itself near the future
