I find it funny how no one ever complains that formats going from group stage to bracket don't perfectly respect all the results that happened in group stage beyond seeding. That is, you can finish above someone in groups and have no advantage over them in the bracket phase (except seed). Seed advantage is often very weak. So here a double elim bracket was used to solve the problem of "we have 4 teams but we only need 2" and once it did that, the finals were played. Group stage before bracket is the same thing but with different numbers. It's so the finals mean more on their own. If one side has an advantage going into the finals, the finals are cheapened when that side wins. This avoids that. It's a compromise between having a real finals or having a tournament with memory. What?! Rational thinking and common sense? Blasphemy! gtfo, this is StarCraft.

The tournament was not "fair", nor was it ever intended to be. Thank you TB for the awesome tournament!

And to everyone complaining about fairness in a Random Monobattles Tournament, please slap some sense into yourselves. Not to mention everyone knew about the rules beforehand and agreed to them. If TotalBiscuit had required the winners to pants themselves and get spanked by the losing teams live on stream in order to receive their money, and everyone agreed to those terms beforehand, that would have been perfectly fair. And hilarious.

No matter what the last unit is, unless the people you vs are retarded (which liquid arent) theres no way to win. Also nony getting collosus twice wasnt exactly fair, but its always fun to see 20 collosus rape 20 infestors before they get the chance to unburrow

We had Collosus, Zealots, Battlecruisers and Reapers. The thing that lost them the game the most was actually the map; all the paths are rather narrow. Had it been on Megaton or similar, flanks with fungal Collosus, neural BC and using Yamato or feedbacking them while storming/fungal on Reapers/Zealots could work out.
