I have finally done it. I switched to terran. I did this because I was bored with zerg to easily, and it was way to frustrating. With terran, I feel more free. I can branch out, I can do weird things and get away with it. With zerg, I feel everything is strict and you have to do everything to the letter.
I've been wanting to switch for a while now. I've been going back and forth, but I didn't want to fall in rank or in leagues. Now I don't care about what league I'm in, as long as I am having fun. So, I made my switch officially and it was a very rocky start. I lost 5 games in a row, losing my rank 1 spot in gold, down to rank 10-15. I then started winning and getting a feel for things again, so I started to feel comfortable. My current record as terran is 8-8, so not to shabby, huh? I'm not frustrated when I lose, because terran is just a lot more fun than zerg. I feel much faster improvement as terran than I do as zerg, so maybe I am going to stick with terran? Who knows, but one thing I do know is I will never play protoss.
As always, farewell and thanks for reading!

Awesome-congrats! I think Terran can be a ton of fun and it's my main race for 1v1. Ironically enough, I really like offracing to Zerg in 2v2s and such with friends and I agree that I would never play Protoss. Welcome to the best race!

Terran will be fun until you get into plat. Then it wont be fun anymore and you will want to go back to zerg. I play zerg in team games because its fun and I play random from time to time in 1v1 but terran is my main and I can say that it is far from fun.

Ironic, that you feel less constrained with Terran and like you have more options. I feel precisely the opposite way.
But, good luck! A new race can really be invigorating when you're getting bored. Just hope you don't resort to all-ins now that they're far more viable than Zerg ones... fight the temptation!!

Gratz, you'll soon probably love TvZ (dem hellions...) as much as you'll hate TvP (dat deathball...) !

Terran is fun, it's a totally different mindset than zerg. Just keep in mind as Terran you will want to push the pace as much as possible and to be aggressive.

GL learning your new mirror! I feel like the hardest part of race switching (past basic mechanics) is the difficulty of someone with the exact same options as you! TvT tank lines are not forgiving, drops everywhere, and fighting for air dominance in the late game all make a really rough transition. Plus the heavy requirement to micro your marines to be semi effective around gold league.

TvT is honestly the reason I will never play terran as a full switch (aside from just preferring zerg of course ). I just wouldn't be able to stand it xD.

Have fun with Terran I use them because for me they are the most challenging, mechanically. And despite what some others may say, I find TvT extremely enjoyable, whereas I loathe ZvZ and I get bugged easily in PvP. Good luck, and welcome back to the human race :D

Thank you good sir, we have far too many zergs on the ladder! TvT is the best mirror IMO, but obviously my opinion is skewed, remember to have a turret up in your mineral line though, else you will lose to a lot of cloak banshee.
I find TvP really fun as well, constantly harrasing and picking off what you can until you can engage head on. Enjoyable.
Get used to a lot of TvZs, and they will get REALLY hard when you get plat-diamond level.
Also, if you wanna get out of gold, remember, macro macro macro. build SCVs, and have units. Thats how I got to Diamond

Thanks for all the support guys! I am really enjoying TvZ and TvP, while TvT is the most fun in a matchup I've had in a long while!
