Oh, it'll stay afloat; the scene is growing and has more stability than previous western e-sport bubbles. What I mean that there are like 50 major SC2 tournaments, and not one of them is making money. Eventually, it'll collapse, and there's be 4-5 major SC2 tournaments that are making money. This is pretty much unanimous consensus among most of the people losing money and competing to be one of the last 4-5. LoL, I think, is the same way. There's a lot of POTENTIAL for it to be big, and thus an incentive to try and make it big in LoL. And it's easier to do that in LoL because Riot supports tournaments a lot more than Valve (Dota) or Blizzard (SC2) does. But most of the people who are trying to get into LoL are going to fail. That's not even pessimism, it's just true. There are a lot more people trying to make money in LoL (and SC2, and really "e-sports" in general) than the scene can actually sustain, but the guys still standing at the end will reap the rewards. LoL, like SC2, is a bubble. It is. The question is where it's like the dotcom bubble (where most of those startups failed, but there were a few Amazons among the pets.coms) or like the housing bubble where just everyone loses. Yellow could potentially make more money in LoL, but it's a risky venture.

If he's doing this coaching LoL gig because he lost most or all of the money he made in BW, then we can say he has a problem. Yeah.. I'm half expecting Rekrul to make an appearance after those comments...

I think they signed him to be like a team mascot or something, and he agreed just so he can earn a few extra bucks on the side, which is what I would do if I were him. He's not just a coach in the team, he's their head coach, or what they call "director" in Korean. It's a big appointment.

Although I much prefer SC2 over LoL (and MOBA in general) and I consider LoL to be a noob friendly DoTA, I kinda hope it gets off :D

You notice how all these teams are actually get sponsors and many sc2 cant? There's a reason for that. If anything sc2 is only big because of the foreign numbers. Pretty much, though it's slowly growing in Korea. That's why the "OMG SC2 is going to kill BW" hype is so overblown. SC2 is actually going to collapse a bit pretty soon. And there's not yet any reason to think LoL will be any different. I mean, it might not. It very well could take off. But it hasn't stood on it's own two feet yet. That's why I'm surprised Yellow isn't getting a job in BW, as a coach or commentator or something. He must either love LoL or hate all things Starcraft. Though, I suppose, it's not like he can't go back to being a BW community dude if LoL doesn't pan out. OGN is hosting a LoL league for the next year so we'll soon see how they do. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=313935#18

BW is still bigger than SC2. I don't think LoL is very big in Korea, but it also released there fairly recently, so it's a good bet it'll grow. Still, it's really kind of arbitrary a career move. I guess I wish him well, though. I wonder if it's named "Storm" after him. I'd like to see him play, I guess. I wonder what champion he'd pick. Sudden Attack, the korean CS, being the most dominant one followed by Aion, an MMORPG. LoL has seen an explosive growth in Korea, which is why you see all them Pros talk about it / move it. It could very well be the next big thing in Korea. (If it already isn't.) Really looking forward to this. LoL is a moba not an RTS
