I did not play at all today due having to help out the family back for their skidooing trip to Hudson Bay. I have the 3 dogs keeping me company tonight while I write this. Anyway back to the progression period. I was able to play 30ish games, Its not an unbelievable number but I have other thing going on as stated above. I really really want to play more and I'm just to tired to do so tonight, Its one o'clock in the morning.
I was able to finish my placement matches going into my terrible 2-3 record getting placed into mid silver. After a couple games I regained my ability to actually play slightly. I was not horrendously missing timings or messing up macro so pretty much the last 25 games or so have been straight wins, I got a couple losses to 4gates and what not. The funniest thing is I still haven't been promoted and its kind of egging me on since I should probably start playing people who are maybe closer to diamond. Not like diamond is great or anything, but being out of the loop has me not to clear on what the skill levels are like. It is terribly easy right now.
I've noticed a couple of my problems so far and I'm going to make a note of them in this blog. First off my Macro is fine on till I hit a Third base. I need more experience at this level in the game so I can fully understand what to have to spend my money on. BANK IS TO DAMN FULL. This may also have to do with my failure tech wise where I don't stray far from Gateway units. I actually don't like playing with colossi and sometimes i opt to try and go heavy gateway/force field type stuff. Fragile but a lot of fun. I see a bit of truth in this style but I cannot be for certain.
As of right now I'm super comfortable playing in PvZ, my friend ProdiG said its really no surprise it can be a fairly hard match up for Zerg. My PvT is not bad either, I just have to watch for those stupid stim timings I haven't seen. PvP could be better as all I know how to do is defence or offence 4gate my way to victory. I might have to take a look at some PvP VODs and absorb some damn knowledge.
I'm also having problems with how I should use my observers properly. Should I just leave 1 with my army, let one roam and let one follow their army? I tend to lose track of them if I overlap the hotkey. I better just start setting them key 8 to key 0 so I don't lose them so easily
As my final thoughts, This game is the best and I do enjoy playing it. I'm starting to enjoy the frustration and the whole pulling out my hair thing when everything I do doesn't go right or i miss a pylon haha.
Thanks to anyone who reads, Leave a comment if you want and be as nice as possible have a good night all!~
