well hey if you work a job where you use a computer, i could always use a stream chat room mod so you can at least be involved
also if you know someone else has a team, notify them about this! I mean sure it's my money, and so I'm putting this all together but I want it to be a coming together of various communities
There may also be smaller season-esque showmatch evenings leading up to te big $100 event
Due to certain funding issues, the prize pool has been lowered to $50 until further notice. I hope this will not affect people's participation in the event.
i think some rules of conduct might be in order. i can think of a lot of ways people can abuse certain character picks. such as picking scv marine and ghost. the scv can just plant two turrets down and force the opponents to come into the attack area, which would allow for the ghost and marine to kill them off as well by just attack moving until they are in the red in health. therefore, the opposing team cannot push to steal the ball or can get killed off easily and stunned for 4-5 seconds. if this were to happen, then the game would be pointless and also not fun to play.
chirus may fix the "no attacking mode" making it that no normal attacks hurt heroes and only specials do and also building would be killable. When chirus does this, I suggest changing "soft attacks" to "no attacks" which prevents certain attacking units from being too op like ghost or marine
also, i dont mind the money being lowered as long as there is good streaming and a big audience!!
attacking units are not op; :O in any case, for the year its been played nothing like the mentioned scv, marine, ghost has ever came up, except in 1v1 which everyone knows doesnt matter
aard, u don't see this problem because no one in our community gets these heroes. besides maybe souljah and revchichanery. all they do is attack people with it and it takes no skill. anything that doesn't promote positioning and passing i'm am very against it. the scv, marine, and ghost combo can be abused and needs to be fixed, which is why we always choose no attacking when we play games. if u still need convincing, we should set up a 3v3 and i can show u how retarded it can be.
Also everybody check out my youtube channel where I find some well known and some less-well known custom games and review them. Coming up soon: a sneak peek at aphotic (the creator of magecraft)'s newest game! http://www.youtube.com/user/SC2Modspot?feature=mhee

Ard is right I dont know what game you guys are playing where attacking units are op. I have long lamented that my beloved Gohst needs to be faster.
:\ there MAY be a problem but i highly doubt it, the actual attacking part rarely matters, it just allows to get that extra nudge rather than having to wait for the cooldown or the mana you need, im pretty much the only one who plays the units mentioned in our group, and thats only because i random, i wold NEVER pick marine, in any case, if i do happen to be trying get that extra damage in, most of the time the unit gets away in the red; but they get away. (of course my stutter step isnt great)
