I heard some casters say people on reddit want it to go to MKP, MC, and Reis for "best casting" as well.

whatever will get mc and mkp casting more is how the money should be spent

Sure it can go into the main prizepool but what's the use, really? If it was added to the prizepool in advance the scene and tournament would benefit from it as well. Maybe we would have seen a couple more big name players, some extra media attention, or more viewers. The money won't really affect these things anymore and it makes more sense to make the most of it.
Don't get me wrong, the whole thing can only be a positive. Adding it to the prizepool is not a bad thing regardless, but yea using the money to create content would be beneficial for everyone.
I'm with Nazgul on that one!

Main general idea seems kinda of weak, 150~ bucks for all 32 player :S.
Mixture of prize pool/showmatches seems really appealing! <3

There's no real time to do showmatches. Either split it evenly or just top-up all the current payouts.
|
Normally I would give it to the top-finishing players but in this tournament I think everyone, even the ones who lost in the first stage, has contributed to making this a great tournament.
Therefore I think the money should be distributed towards everyone. Even if the ~150 $ isn't a lot, I think it's a nice way to say "thanks for making this tournament awesome". Guys like Hasuobs and Moman who didn't make it past the first groupstage still deserves something for their casting imo.

The 8-12 players playing can be decided by an online poll, and the teams could be done by random pics ^^ I could take long, but not as much as 2, 3+ bo7 (1v1).

True but still, not everyone did something (not their fault if they are shy for one reason or another). Very few did that kind of "service". Behind the scenes, u have great food and entertainment (poker and chilling in, what seems to be, the most friendly "VIP" enviorment for pro-gamers that tournaments ever offer). So getting money after this to, seems (to me) kinda of over doing it.

all to Take or the next home story cup. He doesn't get enough credit for putting all this together and is most deserving of some compensation!

this! use it to make HSC5 even bigger and better!

so awesome. some real nerd ballers over at twitch tv.
and how could not want 4v4 bo3, top team takes 75%, 2nd place team 25%
|
spreat it all across competitors
|
Give it to the bottom players to make the prize pool less top heavy. Everyone there has made this event fun to watch.
$100 for places 17th-32nd (the people out in the first group stage) $200 for places 9th-16th (the people out in the second group stage) $300 more for places 7th-8th (to raise their total to $500) $450 more for places 5th-6th (to raise their total to $750) $300 more for 4th place (to raise his total to $1300)
|
Spread it across all the competitors. I think they all deserve to be compensated for making this such a smash hit.

I would love to see some kind of Bo1 tournament -winner takes it all- kinda thing
|
Show matches with special handicaps for both players would be fun.
Most enjoyable caster voted by the players and company there.
Spread more money across the top 16.
Etc.
|
Here's an attempt at combining some:
3v3 showmatches with most popular casting teams.
|
Yeah I'd say next homestory cup. These events are so well run!
|
1.5k extra for first 1k extra for second 500 extra for third 250 extra for fourth
4 x 500$ showmatches - participants voted in @ TakeTV.net
a few extra bucks for beer / freeroll poker tournament on site.
|
personally, i'd love to watch 4v4 tourney but i think time would be an issue there.
realistically, i'd say to give each player 100 bucks and then the rest towards the next HSC
