I will be making the trip down to Providence on Saturday for my 1st MLG event. I was just wondering what the events are like when you actually attend in person.
For example, how early do you have to be there to get a seat? Is it better to just sit in front of the main stage all day or should I walk around scope out the rest of the event?
Just curious what there is to do and how fierce the competition is for seating. Is there anything a 1st time MLG spectator must do?

there's a stage behind the player's area labelled A/B that has good games always, 4 players but you only see 2 at a time (from 2 games). at anaheim the games there were better, and there's usually a crowd. you MUST see dr pepper girls, watch halo, scream "PISTOLA" when instinct is playing.
There's a lot of downtime between main stage games so if you reallly want to wait, keep your seat.

Walk around and meet as many people as you can. Grab a seat early for the finals, and make sure you drink something other than Dr. Pepper all weekend.

Be prepared for a lot of standing. People will literally camp seats (even though they're technically not supposed to) for like the entire day. I preferred just going around even if it meant I wouldn't get a seat. It's more fun being able to see everything rather than just the main stage which you could have watched at home, but watching from the player's perspective is part of the experience.

Thanks for the advice so far.
I wanna try and do both, but I since I plan on getting to the event around 8:00-8:30 that I should try to get a main stage seat for the 1st few hours then spend the rest of the day walking around.
Some more dumb questions: Is it packed at 8:00am on the Saturdays? Can I bring my own food/drink? I'm assuming the tickets allow re-entry?

You can't bring ANYTHING (food/drink) in... they're super strict about it. You'll have to sneak it in if you want to do that...

My advice: Friday, get there either early or late. Lines are ridiculously long to get in. Be early to get a good spot, or be late enough that everyone has gotten in.
As far as seats go: Once they fill up, they stay full (as far as I could tell at Anaheim). I enjoyed walking around everywhere, watching the blue stream, getting autographs, etc. I would have died staying in my seat all day, but that would definitely guarantee that you keep one.

I brought food in =/ Didn't have any troubles getting it in. It was just snacks though, apricots, trail mix, etc. I ate in the open without problems, but better safe than sorry definitely.

Hi, I'm in Seoul until the 22nd. I wanted to attend a live game. I checked on Gomtv website and there are no live games until the 23rd. Is there any other live games not organized by Gom tv? Any game I can attend live before the 22? thanks.
