Hey Guys, this is my first blog entry! I am so excited
So today I started my "The Masters Project". (see http://www.teamliquid.net/blogs/viewblog.php?id=269513).
I will talk about my feelings when playing, comment my games and post some Replays (Won't comment all games, that would be too much... I will choose some games)
So, enough said, let's go!
The first day
So I started playing when I came from school, and I started with a pretty big fail: I had Zerg selected as my race (from playing Teamgames yesterday^^) and didn't recognized it in time. So I had a big wake-up ingame and I lost poorly :D
Luckily I can laugh about such things, so my next game was way better. I played versus a random'ed Zerg on Tal'darim (which is one of my favorite maps ). I decided to go Nexus first and follow it up with a forge and 5gates+robo+twilight council, which was perfect to secure my third base. I scouted a Infestor den and made a robo support dock to get Colossi to deal with the Infestors, then adding HTs and a fourth base. I moved out to kill his third, what worked out pretty nicely excepting that I was trapped afterwards. I lost my whole army, but my 5th was already running and I had made lots of gates, stargates and robos, which paid off pretty well there, as I did defend his counter-push by warping in DTs (nice to kill small groups without detection, reduces your losses). Afterwards, I got Voids, Immos,Colossi, Archons and Blinkstalkers from my spare ressources. With some feedbacks I was able to deny the Infestors from using their energy and my Voids and Stalkers killed the ~10 Broods easily, gg
Later on, I had a PvP on the Shattered Temple (close posi). Thanks to patch 1.4, Immortals are really amazing in PvP, so I decided to go for a 2gate robo build. I got out a Observer, which brought me the information that he was going 3gate robo, so I felt confident enough to make a Nexus. My opponent scouted the expansion and went for an attack. I ended up loosing my Nexus, but I held the attack keeping my colossus and 2 Immortals. I remade my nexus and made a 2 colossus push. He had about even stuff, but the lack of gurdian shield and Immortals lost him his whole army and I could deny the mining at his natural while my own Nexus was up again so I was able to end the game by killing off a lot of probes and his last units.
This game was quite interesting. After barely defending his push but loosing my Nexus, I felt like I lost the game. I just wanted to stay in a bit longer and try everything to come back, but I didn't really believed that I could turn the game. That taught me a lesson: "Never give up, never surrender!"
Always try to give your best, in all situations, just don't sit back and relax if you think you are ahead!
Over and out for today, and a good start into the week everyone!

Day 2: Kicking in
Today I will feature again two of my games:
The first one was pretty short, lasting only ~3:30. I chose to blog about it, because it contains one of the best lessons to learn in Starcraft II: Scouting! It was a PvP on Typhons Peaks. I started up with a 12 gate, just as usual, but there is one thing that differs me from alot of other players: I always scout on 9, after my pylon. So I got lucky and scouted him on the first position and saw his forge building and immediately I sent out a probe to scout my base and one to patrol at my ramp. As my opponent saw that, he left the game. Just a defwin because of scouting! So always scout, it REALLY wins you games.
Well, as short as the first game was, as epic and long was the second game. It was a PvZ on Typhons Peaks (is it just me recognizing that you get only 1 map to play on per day? O.o) and I started into the game with a FFE (Forge first expand, if you don't know what this is, head to Liquipedia and look it up, it's a great opener in PvZ) followed up by my all-time-favorite: the 5-Gate-Robo-Twilight Council ! As the game went on, I scouted his third and decided to experiment with an unconventional reaction: A double expand. That was no good idea as I lost my whole army againt a trap (I was really disappointed there, my army just died so pointless <.<), but I fighted hard and pulled of his counter. From there on, I he put permanent agression on me and I barely held him back from destroying my base with DTs and Immortals (I just cannot stop mentioning how good Immortals are after Patch 1.4! You should really start using them if you don't use them already). I had given up the game a long time before, but I was really surprised how well you can defend superior armies with some good intentions. However, I came back because of my consistent superior cost efficiency and somehow, after a long period without a new attack wave, I decided to go for an attack. Due a lack of Infestors (he stopped producing them) I was able to target down his remaining Ultralisks, leaving just a few Roaches which could not stop my army, so I finally won a game which I thought I lost it a hundered times.
This just confirmes what I discovered yesterday: "Never give up, never surrender!" (It's always easy to quote Day9, but some of his advices you have to discover for yourself to see what is meant!)
Another day on ladder full of good games, showing my bads, showing where I have to work on, helping me on my way to World domin... *ERR* Masters League
Good Night everyone, sleep well

Day 3: Madness on ladder
Hey folks, today I will focus on important fact when laddering a lot: Rage, madness and pure agression!
Who doesn't know the situation: Just scouting his spire in the second where you see 15 Mutas flying into your main economy line as you just went out to take a third? For those, who don't, it's REALLY annoying and after 3 minutes of rebuilding cannons, blinking after Mutas and ending up being trashed badly, earning a "U mad?" from the opponent...
Sup.
So, This was just how I felt after one of my PvZs today. I played on Shakuras, opening up FFE. Everything went nicely and I went for 5Gate+Robo+Twilight Council (No, this is not my only build, but I am currently working on this one ), but suddenly, I saw his spire. Panic mode. His Mutas just started killing my Probes and Blink wasn't completed. This was an awkward situation. I knew I had to expand to stay even in macro, but I couldn't secure another base, atleast not without Blink. However, I tried to defend as well as I could, but my third base got crushed by lots of Lings and I comitted All-in, which failed poorly.
That made me mad. Really mad. Because I cannot play when I am upset, I just tuned in the MLP "Winter Wrap up"-song. Don't try to play when you are raging. It causes silly mistakes and even harder losses. Just take a few minutes and calm down by reading TL/Memebase/etc or listen to good music or whatever helps you to get back on track and your mind free. I just cannot stress that enough as I made that mistake too often by myself!
Well, 'nuff said about madness from ourselves, time to make someone mad on ladder!
Today is actually the first day I will talk about PvT, just because I had less terrans in the past few days, don't ask me why.
So, let's get the review started: Like I said, I had a terran opponent on Taldarim Altar. You have to know that I really love to 1 Gate FE and open up with it in 95% of my games. We spawned cross positions and I saw him 1 rax FE'ing, so I felt save enough to go 20 Nexus (before any units are made),which is funny to mention because I always play 1 Gate FE this way. After a little while, he made a lot of Barracks and attacked with lots of marines, but I was able to pull his attack back with some probes. I saw him really commiting into Bio play, so I put down a Robo support dock to build Colossi and a Templar archive to get HTs. I took my third and defended a drop when I saw his push coming, but I had too many Colossi and too less Stalkers, so we traded armies. Then I expanded again, and went for a Gate-heavy style. After geting maxed, I moved out to kill his third base. Like intended with that move, it came down to the big clash, but I could get of lots of storms and focused his Medivacs so he died to the constant flow of units being produced off 5 bases. Never forget about the power of High templar. A Coloss-only based army can be taken out quite easily due the Viking's range; HTs are alot harder to counter and do LOTS of damage to Bioballs.
That's it for today. Thanks for reading my blog and have a good day!

Day 4: Battle.net Trolling
Hi guys, another Battle report from here. Great news: I got my stream up, bad news: It runs only 13 fps :/
So, today I got trolled from Battle.net. I don't know, but i think 70% of my games were PvPs. It's really retarded to play PvP, especially when you loose to random pushes.
So I played vs a Master Protoss today on Shakuras. I opened with 2-Gate-Robo and scouted a 4-Gate from him. He tried to hit with 6 Stalkers and 3 Zealots, but I had enough Forcefields and an Immortal to deal with his Push. He contained me in my main, poking up the ramp every minute. I teched to Colossi to break his contain and finally I broke out and trapped all his units with Forcefields so I could easily kill them. GG
Another PvP: Spawned Cross on Typhons peaks, we both went for a Robo-Opener and expanded behind Colossi tech. As I took a third, he pushed out, trading Armies except 3 Colossi form him and 2 from me. After that, he was in a pretty big lead as he got his third base quicker than me, outnumbering my Colossi count. I began mixing in some Voidrays and he went for Archons. Sadly I couldn't get enough of them before the next clash and I barely made him to stop his attack with DTs. But the losses on my side were too big to come back from and I lost against his next attack.
My thoughts about PvP: PvP is (still) a broken Matchup, as 4-Gate is the only viable build on some maps. Apart from that, Colossi are annihilating all Gateway-based unit mixes, making the game become a Colossi War which often is decided by pure luck.Voidrays can counter Colossi, but they are expensive and their DPS when not being charged up just cannot kill Colossi fast enough unless you have like 12 Voidrays. It seems to me, that after getting into the mid-late game (Colossi War) you have no Choice except mass Voids/Carrier and Colossi, which pretty much fucks up the PvP-Metagame.
Out for today. Good night/day everyone out there!
