If you like dark, half gotic and gore style, 3rd person view games, i'd recommend it. I never had any stuttering issues (PC), and thought the game was great. But I agree, it's a matter of taste. I enjoyed the art more than the game play (which gets very repetitive by the end). Not a bad buy though, I don't regret it (bought it at release).

GTA Complete pack seems to include the GTA: Complete edition and it's ~$1 cheaper, is there any reason not to get the Complete Pack? Nope! Get the complete pack because it's better. The complete edition is a regular item and it hasn't been reduced in price relative to the sale on the complete pack. This happens quite often during sales. There is also some funny (dumb) pricing even without sales swaying the numbers. For example, look at Heroes of Might and Magic V. "The Heroes Pack" is $10 cheaper than the "Heroes of Might And Magic V Pack" and yet it also includes an extra game.

game isn't optimized and relies a lot on your CPU than your graphics card. Episodes of Liberty City > GTAIV, it's the same shit but more stuff. There are more people online on GTAIV than episodes (additionally, the number of people is like 100 on a good day).

With the amount of gametime in singleplayer, you don't need to even bother with multiplayer. And Episodes From Liberty City are quite cool, yet original is better, but they both compliment each other like episodes from Pulp Fiction.

Because that was the issue with "test" version games. As much as it's not perfect as most of the ports, this is not entirely true, or possibly, at all. Logically, but I assumed people would understand that 1.8 dual might be bit too short for good performance (since it's that old of a processor), yet I have 2.8 and it runs really good, worst scenario is 45 fps in somewhat rare cases. (GTS 250, so you can somewhat compare) Besides, there's always systemrequirementslab.com

So can anyone point me into any direction? Is 2012 worth it, or would a 2011 version, half the price of the former, would be ok?

It's really fun and really cheap (10% off too, 3.60 euro or 5 dollar I believe). They should have thought of a better title though.

I wish I wasn't such a scared person and could play Dead Space 2 (( That game looks and plays awesome from what I've seen but I don't like being scared.
