DTDominion, yeah its his weakest matchup, but he's still good enough at it to win consistantly. And yeah, GF is really fucking good, period.

The fear of DTs is the SCV loss, so why make it easier. I'm trying to understand the point that other guy was trying to make, but it seriously seems like bullshit to me. Other than lacking crazy TvP (but he's more rounded in the other 2 matches) I see no difference between him, Casy, Midas, Sea, Cloud, just about every Terran except for the legends. I don't think the problem is GF, I think the problem is mediocre Terrans.

Thats weird, because I also think GF is boring, but the other terrans you mentioned are all cool to watch: Casy - Crazy micro, different play style, original ideas. Midas - A bit boring, but very entertaining and unusual TvP, also always impressive to see him manage impossibly large armies. Sea - won't comment. Cloud - The lovely "giant killer", who always manages to edge out wins versus player he should have no chance agains.

You say Cloud is a giant killer, and he is, but there is nothing spectacular about his games other than the fact that he is an underdog going in. The games usually suck and are very goodfriendish in that way. Casy usually plays like shit, this OSL is an anomaly in his career. He may have potential now, but I've seen nothing of note from him on TV, micro or otherwise. I guess that's just a matter of opinon, but the fact that he is just recently becoming relavent in progaming is undenyable. Good thing you didn't comment on Sea. We haven't seen enough of him yet anyway, but he just plays standard conventional T anyways. Midas, like Oov, is only entertaining because he's so effective. Seeing him TvZ is shameful IMO. As for all the other mediocre players, like Sync and silent control and the rest, to me they're all the same. I think GF gets a bad rap because he always does better than the rest, but has very little impact in these very important matches he seems to always be a part of. His OSL final vs July was probably the least climactic final series I've ever seen. I really don't think there is a difference, so now I'm left to wonder why people direct all this hate on him when it is just as well deserved toward any other semi-crap T player.

July IPX and GoRush would all have their way with him. This doesn't mean "he sucks"...it just means that he isn't in their league. Midas rides his TvP to get him places in tournaments, because he is seriously mediore in the other 2 MUs.

He also won vs Gorush in the last ODL, although Gorush was still slumping quite bad. I don't know if it's enough to prove he's become a toplevel TvZ player (probably not), but what's sure is that he has improved an enormous amount in this matchup since he's been in T1. He's got great builds, great macro (he's esp. good with 2-fac tanks builds), and of course his trademark lethal timing. I think a series vs July would be a good one, although July is the clear favourite.
