I decided a bit ago that i would like to learn how to draw more realistic faces so i started doing a quick sketch everyday at work during lunch break for the past week and i managed to draw this yesterday without a reference.
Mainly sticking to ratios right now (50% eye level, 25% nose tip, 12.5% bottom lip etc). But i don't know how aesthically pleasing the face is to the audience. I aim to find a template face that i can use as a foundation to base other faces off of.
Any comments/critique would be helpful in the aspiration to improve

hmm there is something that makes her not look real but i cant put my finger on it. im no artist but maybe its the width of her cheek/length of her jaw?

She looks pretty to me. : 3
As for anything wrong, I think it's just her lips. But my realism skills are so pathetic, I'm pretty much wrong.

It's a lot better than I could've created, but she has a really muscular neck for a girl that has to be a hot mermaid or whatever. Also her lips are a little odd.
Also, when in doubt, freckles.

Nose and lips feels far too emphasized. The nose might be the coloring, but the lips definately needs less bold lines.
Aside from that, it looks great!
Edit: Actually, the perspective on her nose looks kinda off. You might want to doublecheck that.
Editedit: Her nose is fine in relation to the top half of her head. The problem lies with the bottom half.

Her lips make her look like a total bimbo, but otherwise she's hot.

Well it's really realistic and good, but don't forget that realism never bought Salvador Dali a juice box. Realistic ratios may not be aesthetically appealing to some.

Average-ish? I'm not an artist so I wouldn't know how to improve this, but I just got this "average-mediocre" kind of first impression.

Kind of ugly.
Hairline too far back or eyebrows too far forward (down?). Maybe it's just me, but I don't like a forehead as big as the rest of the face. Her chin is maybe a "centimeter" too long?
I think they details are great though, the eyes are good, lips and nose are good, hair looks good. Maybe she's just not a perfect person, but why would you want to draw a lady with a big forehead and a bigger chin?!

I voted hot. The only things that seem to be off are the big bolded lips and the hairline is just a smidge too far back. The rest of her looks great, you did a good job with the hair.

it looks fucking terrible..the mouth makes her look non-human, goodluck improving

Yes I also think the nose could be a little better, maybe a little thinner as was proposed above me. Her nose looks a bit too masculin.

thanks for all the insight guys. It really does help whether it seems like it or not.
thanks for catching the eyebrow thing sigrun, i'm a little embarrassed i let that slip past me. I've tried flipping before, but i find it helps me catch the smaller mistakes and things that take up a larger area of the canvas still gets by me.
Gonna get some more practice faces done before lunch. thanks again for voting
