I've noticed that one of my biggest problems is not paying attention to rally points and allowing my units to suicide themselves without accomplishing anything. Is there any way I can quickly and efficiently change the rally points from 10 gateways? Right now, I've pretty much been selecting a gate, then pressing "R" then clicking somewhere on the minimap. This is really inefficient and it takes a while for me to completely set up all my rally points again.

P.S. I read the guide about rallying units to another unit, but I don't think that's the right way for me.

There was a vid of a progamer (don't remember who) demonstrating how he did it. Basically, it involved setting a f-hotkey to the screen with the gateways, setting another f-hotkey to wherever the rally was to, and then going to the gateways, clicking one, going to the rally, right-clicking, and repeating. The gamer in question did it for ten or so gateways in a couple seconds.

Should probably go find that.

Pros will hotkey the area of the gateways to a function key, then the place where they want to rally to. They then change the view back and forth selecting a gateway and then right clicking on the ground.

wtf? why press R, unless you are playing a really outdated version of starcraft?

just click on the building and right click to rally.

I use to hotkey the buildings and then go to the rally point, and just do 1 right click, 2 right click, 3 right click etc...
Really, play for fun!

Yep, that's how I do it too. It seems like a lot of work, but once you get the handle of it, it's very effective and it hepls you improve your hotkeying speed, which is one of the most important advanced skills, mechanic-wise.
