QuietIdiot, it's not 1 per group.

Each "group" has two people advance, then everyone is re-shuffled - so GoodFriend will not play Reach no matter what. [I think the rerolled groups will prevent same people in same groups, not sure.]

So GF will not knock out Reach.

Anyways, Reach isn't captain anymore, so he'll do fine. GARIMTO, on the other hand...

edit: I want gnome zerg to pass. I am his fan because rekrul makes him seem so badass.

Well, there's usually 24 players on ODT, and they play in the method you described.

However, this ODT has 48 participants, so they're knocking out 24 right now through bo3s. Winner advances, loser drops.

Then, they're going to proceed as usual, with six groups of four, and two winners from each group advancing.
