Fuck, I hate yooi, he's like the mumyung of terran.
GF vs Xellos might be a fun joke though. Two, now-sloppy as hell TvT'ers
Flash vs Ever) will be like watching a retard and a cripple fight with hands tied back. The retard being ever)(STUPID STUPID PLAYER.) and the cripple being flash.(IE, his defense are piss poor and his tactics are like smacking wood.)
GF might knock out Reach if the KTF captain curse persists T_T
Each "group" has two people advance, then everyone is re-shuffled - so GoodFriend will not play Reach no matter what. [I think the rerolled groups will prevent same people in same groups, not sure.]
So GF will not knock out Reach.
Anyways, Reach isn't captain anymore, so he'll do fine. GARIMTO, on the other hand...
edit: I want gnome zerg to pass. I am his fan because rekrul makes him seem so badass.

Woot, it starts in "just one ten minutes" - Lee Hyori. I guess I'm sympathetic to Chojja, can't hurt to have some more Zerg. A lot of P have already made it through this round anyway.

Haha, yeah pretty much.
Ever will probably use some crazy all in builds though, so that's always fun.
Shuttle is out, an observer almost sees the light at the end of the tunnel. The shuttle isn't doing anything yet... just wandering it seems. NVM! DT DROP in T main! Takes a tank down.
CC is done for Terran, goons try to delay the mineral only expansion by harassing before the expo lands. No dice, and P backs off. But then he comes back with reinforcements! And the CC that was meant to be placed at the mineral only blows up.
Ugh, Flash looks like another one of those nondescript macro terrans.
He's got a killer six fac push though, solid timing on that fastpush.
TT does some sort of five-multi play as a counter to six fac, of course he had small army and got annihilated. Unlike mantoss, his storms are not as accurate or numerous. The two good storms he had were on clumepd tanks - the rest were misses, partial hits, or dead HT before they even got off a storm.
DT kill about 8 scv and 2 tanks, as well as some turrets - however, that's not quite enough to pay for Templar/Robo tech, and Terran also got up nat first.
Terran then expands on that macro advantage by making his min only way before protoss - his cc was finished before nex was started. Even though protoss killed the first cc, the second one was up and running before protoss's.
Then a storm drop, things seemed fairly even - maybe slight terran edge due to 3 base vs 3 base.
Protoss then suicides by making TWO nexus and cannoning up each nex. That results in a TINY ass army when Terran's six fac push kicks in. He simply overruns the small protoss force and kills TT.
Just one of the two dt's was shown with a two digit kill count. All those turrets he shut down had to count for something. And I thought the the temp drop killed 6-8 scv's, but i could be wrong.
The p didn't really capitalize on the sucess, though, and the t outmacroed him despite his losses.
Terran pops a bunker in preparation for some gay rush I assume, and one proxy gate becomes 2. But both are canceled, and some marines take out the pylon. Robo building for ever in his main now.
dt's are camped outside T natural expo, as one wraith runs around the p base doing what it can scouting and maybe looking for an opening to probe harass. Terran makes his move down the valley.
Terran pushes closer and closer; down the valley he goes. There's a lot of blue goo, but Ever does what he can with a shuttle. Uh... vultrues place mines... right beside a cannon?!?
Protoss attempts to break push by flanking from high ground while sending troops through the canyon. However, his attempt fails miserably, resulting in six blue ice creams.
Then he tries a frontal assault, with more dead zeals and dragoons
P tries to take advantage of high ground by attacking with goons from the wesh of the terran push, but 70% accuracy is no problem for Flash. Vultures and tanks are now trying to take down the Protoss natural.
Arb attempts to stasis his choke, but only did one half of it. MANY tanks in siege at the protoss main, but many dies to storms. Personally I think it's too late.

Chojja's time is over for good. I don't know exactly why, but he's not the only one of the oldschool pros who were good a few years ago but just can't seem to adapt to today's style, and therefore lose even vs. some newcomers with far less game experience. It's a bit sad, but I'm not surprised because he isn't the only one. I doubt he'll ever reach the top again. He just seems getting worse with each game I watch.

It's easy for you to smack talk the non-terrans when the map pool is so shit.
At least say it the way it is. The odds of a terran...that's ANY terran, are waaaaaaaay better this season than they otherwise would be.
Simply voting for terran at every opportunity would land you in the top 50 this season so far, so it isn't exactly tough. But every once and a while a P is strong enough to beat a terran, dispite the pool.

I'm pretty sure if you looked up the stats for Hitchhiker, its not that much more T> if at all. And I was basing my opinion off them in general. I've ALWAYS thought Chojja sucked. And TT? All I've ever seen him do is cheese..I just don't like him period. We'll see about Reach, I don't expect anything from him
You know why ManToss will overcome map disadvantage to trounce Yooi?
Now, way, way back, in 2004... there was a StarLeague, EVER. In that StarLeague, Rose.of.Dream's famous map Mercury killed Protosses by the dozen, leaving only one Protoss in the entire OSL.
ManToss slaughtered Zerg, Terran, and Protoss alike in his rampage, losing to the eventual winner, oov, 2-3 on horrible maps.
He then overcame double mercury map pool to place third.
Neo Arkanoid, Longinus II, and Hitchhiker are nothing for Mantoss.
On April 13 2007 00:02 Last Romantic wrote: Hitchhiker is like 55% terran

Yeah, it's really a mess.
Zerg is like 52% on HH, 40's on the others.
Protoss is a total mess, 30's and 40's... I don't think they have any 50+?
Not too sure. All I know is that Terran is eating the maps.
The fact oov qualified kind of proves your point. I stand corrected
And what's wrong with monster terran?
Should have seen his games vs HaZin. Crazy macro. Just crazy. Good micro too, losing nothing and annihilating armies.
I'm only joking. Although I do think his micro is a notch lower than the best atm. Few days ago I saw him about to break a sunken line and never siege the tanks. Lost 2 of them I think. The game was over but he always does something small like that everytime I watch

Xellos ggs, good, standard play from goodfriend. God I hate TvT. God I hate Arkanoid. God I'm glad that match is over. God I feel stupid for live reporting because most people watch the live stream and don't even care.
GF's BCs taking some hits from goliaths while trying to yamatoclone xellos's BCs which he sent back in time. GF kills the goliaths though without losing a BC
tt shit xellos seems to be.. NOT is normal self he once used to be.. wasnt he THE tvT player with nada.. well T_T pro gaming times change.. xellos.. now iris.. only nada is still.. T_T
GF totally yamato annihilates Xellos's BC fleet and Xellos immediately types out. That was really painfull to watch, Xellos didn't do anything for the last 25 minutes or so
lol this last battle was rape. xellos was just waiting doing nothing. gf prepared a really nice yamato cloning and killed half of the bcs before xellos even clicked attack.
goodfriend did deserve that... xellos had the advantage early on, but goodfriend just gradually won it back. i'm not even sure what the difference was, seemed like goodfriend was producing more units off a smaller economy.
Mm. It seems Yooi will try cloak wraiths rush like Hiya vs Ra @ Arkanoid. But there's is a difference, Hiya did it without taking expo and Reach will be OK I think ).
they kill the temple but reach has some zealots and oons and make them retreat a little 4 starports now from yooi O.o is he just trying to trick reach?
Reach is behind quite much.. but u can see he is the better player.. Yooi doesnt win this.. he does not do good at all.. even though he is clearly leading imho
Yooi needs to stop going wraiths. He is wasting so much gas by making vessels and wraiths to kill the observers on the carriers. There are way too many observers to try that. Stop PLEASE.
many many carriers for Reach its amazing how hes still in that game.. Yooi had many expos but well imo u simply see that Reach was one of the best to ever play the game.. maybe hes in shape and mood again. Yooi plays bad Reach looks like he regained strength playing really good.
ahaha I didn't want for anyone to take my quote seriously yooi, you have NO BUISNESS using wraiths and science vessels. Reach is going to take this game and I will laugh and laugh

I never said that Reach would lose. I said that Reach wasn't holding Yooi off because of outstanding micro. I said it was easy to hold the terran off because carriers are so strong on this map, Arkanoid. Because of the large amount of cliffs, carriers are strong against terran ground units.
In the first season round of 2007 for Arkanoid 2.0, the TvP record is 33%. Protoss is very strong against terran once it goes into late game. P>T.

Yooi just made only one successful EMP, hitting half carriers and HT on defend, and that time he almost won, despite losing ton of wraiths to corsairs, goliaths to storm and web+cannons, and vessels to foolishness. Also, he almost never tried attacking at 2 places. Instead, he put all of his forces in one narrow place and suicided them to storm, countless times.
And on the cliff issue...damn, I repeat - even in the midgame, Yooi lost a TON of wraiths to MUCH smaller amount of sairs.
Arkanoid 1.0 had a 66% TvP record, so yes, it was better for terran players.
Arkanoid 2.0 was stronger for T during the Season 3 of Shinhan Starleague. But that was largely thanks to players like NaDa, iloveOOv, Midas, etc. Nine top level terran players, and only one protoss player, Much[gm].
Obviously, terran would have the better record vs. P, having such a large advantage in Starleague. A single protoss player certainly can't make good percentages against such a large number of terran players.
But, after the initial rounds of 2007, where there were larger numbers of protoss players, PvT has been much higher. Protoss win 2/3 games against Terran this new pre-Starleague season for 2007.
I was merely saying that Reach seemed to have this game, despite Yooi's large resource domination. Having a large economy doesn't really do anything if your army has to squeeze through tight walls while carriers are attacking. Reach, despite being behind in the game economically, had increasing numbers of carriers. And carriers are extremely annoying units on Arkanoid vs goliaths. You don't need great control, just decent moving-shot with carriers.
convincing play by hero toss! it really looks like he's back in shape. losing to stork pvp is nothing to be ashamed of.
and geez, they were listing 14 terran, 4 zerg, 6 protoss for the next round of OSL qualifiers? plus three terrans and one zerg seeded from previous OSL...
that's horrible, way too many tvts. i much prefer zerg dominance (or protoss, but that might be too much to ask)
WiP, on the same token though, the average protoss player in ODT is much stronger than the average terran player. Every single toss player is experienced and high-skilled, while you cant say the same for the terrans in this round.

and beating yooi is nothing to be proud of, you cant say he's back in shape after 1 bo3 vs yooi

Now, try to tell me with a straight face that the protoss lineup is stronger than the terran lineup.
The only players who are currently active in Starleague for protoss is AnyTime, Much, and Bisu. Pusan, Kingdom, Reach, and Stork have been missing in action for a long time...
However, FBH, iloveOOv, Sea.Up, Hwasin, Midas, Light, Xellos, Bifrost, and Sea[shield] have all been in Starleagues these last Shinhan seasons. Sure, there are a couple terran players who don't have big famous names as the protoss players, but they certainly have proved themselves to be good as of NOW. Some of those protoss are have beens who've struggled up to this point without having any time under the television cameras (IE: Stork, Reach, Kingdom, PuSan).

Would you categorize these 13 terrans below as having a strong TvP? Becuase I would have a hard time doing so. Of these 13, I would say that Darkelf, Hiya and TheMania are the strongest, and we didn't know at the time how TheMania would respond to TV-pressure. So that's 13 out of 22 terrans that have some question marks over their heads.

Pusan, Reach and Stork are definitely suspect, but Kingdom showed a strong PvT during prelims to suggest that he is approaching decent form again, and Jangbi played well in PSL as well, before crumbling to TV pressume yesterday.
And even though these 3 tosses have been missing for a while, they have nonetheless "done it" before and are used to on-stage gameplay.
In all honesty I still think the terran lineup has many more holes compared to the protoss lineup for this ODT.

There are just too many Terran all-stars in that surviving list. The two top terrans from SKT1, STX SouL's best player, eStro's best player, the #2 and #3 players from MBCGame Heroes, #1 and #2 terrans from OnGameNet Sparkys.
