only 19 people subscribed, ESL really needs to make a bigger effort in informing the players about this.

Keep in mind that ESL does not cover the full travel and commendation cost. They give a ton more money to qualified players this season (950$ to all i think?), but not all inclusive trips like MLG.
So then this is still more players/teams who show interest this year than last season. When there was maybe like 2 or 3 korean players able/willing to take the cost and hope for a payback from prize earnings.
edit: If for example one IEM Event would be held in Seoul, you bet your backside that this qualifiers would be stacked :-) Thats how it works, but also keep in mind that IEM is events in many different continents - so the idea is I think that each continent gets at least once a chance to have low travel cost (they also get more slots then)

There's barely any players playing because if you qualify, you still have to pay for flights + accommodation to the final tournament, which most Korean teams can't afford.

Atleast Startale, IM, MvP, FXO and Fnatic should be able to?
But as long as I can see sC performing, I'm happy.

I wonder why DRG wasn't seeded and Supernova was. Supernova was the only one who didn't win an IEM event last season...he got *gasp* second!
