1. League Server and Times
1.1 All matches will be played on the North American server. Matches will be played each week between Wednesday and 11:59PM PST Saturday.
2. Terminology and Match Rules
2.1 Manager: The Leader of the StarCraft 2 Team, responsible for Organization within the Team and Conduct of Team Members; there can only be one Leader per Team.
2.2 Trusted Members: Team Members of good standing, entrusted with assisting the Manager; there can be a maximum of three Trusted Members per Team.
2.3 Team League: Event which is organized in Divisions of 6 Teams each; within the Divisions, Teams play a series of matches against other Teams. A Team League Season consists of 5 Team Matches, followed by Playoffs. * This will change depending on participation.
2.4 Team Match: Event which stages matches between two Teams; a Team League Match consists of four 1v1 matches in a best of 3 Maps. The winner of the first map will be awarded 2 points. The loser will then choose the second map. The following matches would be awarded 1 point. In case of a tie, as determined by points, there will be 1 2v2 match to break the tie giving + 1 point to the winning team.
2.5 Wildcard: The right to postpone a Match; postponed matches (called PPs) are played at a time mutually agreed on by the Managers or Trusted Members. Should no agreement be reached by the Teams, the Administration will set a date and time for the postponed match.
2.6 Walkover (WO): Technical Win awarded to a Team whose opponent does not show up at the appointed time and channel, fully prepared to commence a match; the Team having failed to show up is punished with a Technical Loss.
3. Participants and General Rules
3.1 The WWIG Administration reserves the Right of Admission for each and every official WWIG Team League match.
3.2 Only accounts that have been properly registered on the WWIG Website with the correct Team tag may participate in WWIG Team League matches.
3.3 By signing up for an WWIG Team League match, players confirm that they have read and understood these Rules, and that they will abide by them.
3.4 Players may only be members of a single Team; it is the Managers' duty to ensure that Players are not members of another Team, no matter whether this other Team plays in the Team League or not.
3.5 'Smurfing', shared Team accounts or 'Double Teaming' will be punished as described below.
3.6 Players who are permanently banned from WWIG must not organize their Teams using Third Party Pages. Only regularly listed Players are allowed to participate in the WWIG Team League.
3.7 In case of unforeseen problems, the WWIG Administration has to be contacted immediately.
3.8 Complaints about an Admin's decision have to be made by a support ticket.
4. Match Settings
4.1 All Matches have to be played on the following settings:
Category: Melee
Mode: 1v1
Speed: Faster
Locked Alliances: Yes
4.2 The only Observers allowed will be WWIG admins or if both team Managers agree, observers from both teams will be allowed. The right to observe games can be revoked at any time by WWIG admins.
4.3 All Matches do not require a WWIG admin present, however upon conclusion of the Matches, both players must submit the results as well as replays to a WWIG admin upon conclusion of the Match. Any problems must be routed through team managers, who will first take all measures to work it out internally and then finally submit a trouble ticket to WWIG admins.
5. Maps
5.1 4 Maps will be chosen by the WWIG Administration and are displayed on the WWIG webpage on the Sunday proceeding the Match.
5.2 The Maps for the second and third match are chosen by the loser of the match just played.
5.3 Maps may only be chosen from the current WWIG Map Pack which will be displayed on the WWIG webpage.
5.4 It is against the rules to play the same map twice in a match ('Duplicate Map').
5.5 Once in 'game time' reaches two minutes, no complaints about the map will be accepted; it is the responsibility of all players involved in the match to make sure the correct map is used. If a problem is noticed prior to this time, a player my simply quit the match and the game will be restarted with the map.
5.6 If a player uses an incorrect or duplicate map for the first time, he will be listed in the appropriate Forum Thread. Usage of an incorrect/duplicate map for the second time will result in the player being banned from participating in WWIG for one week; usage of an incorrect/duplicate map for the third time will result in the player being banned from participating in WWIG for two weeks; usage of an incorrect/duplicate map for the fourth time will result in the player being banned from participating in WWIG for the remainder of the ongoing Season.
5.7 An Incorrect Map is defined as a map of either wrong version or as a map not being part of the current WWIG Map Pack.
5.8 A Duplicate Map is defined as a map that has already been used in a 3 set match.
5.9 A player may challenge a map as 'incorrect' or 'duplicate' up to two minutes into a match; if the opponent does not agree to host the match on a correct map, a WWIG Admin has to be contacted.
5.10 The Forum Thread mentioned in '5.6' will be updated every 24 hours; players and/or teams having been added to this list will be notified. (Accounts displayed on the list in bold type have committed more than one offence.)
6. Adding and Removing Players to a Team
6.1 A player coming into a Team must wait one Team Match before they can participate in a Team Match. Also, Managers must ensure the player is properly added to the roster.(How to)
7. Team League Schedule
7.1 Team League matches take place once a week between Wednesday and 11:59 PM PST Saturday; the default time is Saturdays, 01:00 PM PST.
7.2 The default meeting channels for Team Leage matches are: WWIG, WWIG2.... etc
7.3 The time and channel for a Team League match may be changed by mutual agreement of the Managers involved. Be sure to inform WWIG admins.
7.4 Team League matches must be reported in the proper way and place within 12 hours of completion; failure to report in the correct fashion and time may result in the match being disregarded by the WWIG Administration.
7.5 If a Wildcard is activated to postpone a match, the WWIG Administration must be informed within 12 hours.
7.6 Observers are permitted in Team League only if both players agree on their presence; an exception are official WWIG Observers or Streamers/Casters, who must be admitted into any Team League match they choose to observe or stream. Complaints about non-official observers are disregarded by the WWIG Administration.
8. Team Match Procedures
8.1 The Manager or a Trusted Member has to generate their roster for the Team Match within 60 minutes of the scheduled start of a Match.
8.2 If a Team does not show up within 15 minutes of the scheduled start of a Team League match it gets punished with -1 point. 30 minutes late and -4 points. 60 minutes late and the offending team will be given a Tech Loss with 12 points going to the opposing team.
8.3 At least one Captain (Manager or Trusted Member) and three 1v1 Players are needed for a Team League match; if these requirements are not met, the opposing Team may take a Walkover (WO) for the complete Team Match, which would give 10 points. However, if both Captains agree, the match can be played with points given accordingly. Forfeit matches would be awarded at 4 points.
9. Wildcards
9.1 Each Team has one Wildcard per Team Match, without needing the opponent's confirmation. A Wildcard only postpones a single match of a Team Match, not the whole Team Match itself.
9.2 A Wildcard may only be used by the Manager or a Trusted Member, and only up to ten minutes after the time a Team Match has been scheduled for.
9.3 Opponents must be informed about usage of a Wildcard, once it is being activated. There is no need to inform the opponents before a Team Match, but only at the time the Wildcard is actually being used.
9.4 A match postponed by a Wildcard must be before 11:59PM PST Saturday; failure to adhere to this Rule may result in the WWIG Administration disregarding the postponed match. Team Managers must be prepared with a 2v2 team in case of a possible tie scenario.
9.5 Managers or Trusted Members have to provide time-stamped screenshots, to prove a Wildcard has been activated.
9.6 Postponed matches may not be postponed again.
10. Disconnects and Pausing
10.1 If a disconnect occurs during the first two minutes of a Team League match, the match must be repeated; players have to use the same race as in the disconnected match.
10.2 If a disconnect occurs after the first two minutes of a Team League match, players may agree who caused the disconnects and act accordingly; if the players cannot agree, a WWIG Admin must be notified, to decide on the issue.
10.3 Repeated disconnects by the same player result in a Tech Loss.
10.4 Every player may pause or unpause a Team League match by typing "pp" at any time, without giving a reason; complaints referring to pausing or unpausing a Team League match are not accepted by the WWIG Administration.
11. Team League Points System
11.1 Team League Points are awarded for each map won with 2 points for the first map and 1 point for each subsequent map. Each Map is a best of 3 with +1 point for winning a match.
11.2 Individual Tech Wins are awarded with + 4 points, Tech Losses are punished with -1 point.
11.3 Team Tech wins are awarded + 12 points and -1 point respectively.
11.4 Team WO wins are awarded + 10 points and 0 points respectively.
12. Reports
12.1 All players have to report the results of their matches before the deadline for Team League matches expires.
12.2 Submitting fake replays will result in reversion of the scores of the match.
12.3 Tech Wins may the Team League Forum; to report in the Forum, a new thread has to be opened.
12.4 In case of postponing a Team League match by using a Wildcard, the Manager or a Trusted Member has to take screenshots and report the Wildcard in the Team League Forum.
12. Players changing Teams
12.1 Player may change their Team only once per Season.
12.2 Managers have to ensure no player who isn't entitled to play participates in Team League.
13. Abuses and Punishments
13.1 Showing disrespect, using offensive and vulgar expressions on the Team League Forum or during a WWIG Match are strictly prohibited. Each offence will be punished separately; punishments range from a warning, a ban from channel, a Tech Loss in the WWIG match to, in extreme cases, removing the player or Team from Team League.
13.2 Using software that is likely to give advantage over other players is classified as Cheating and is punished at the Administration's discretion.
13.3 If a player is absent for longer than ten minutes from the start of the Team League match or Team Match, and if the Captain does not activate the Wildcard, the Team is punished with a Tech Loss (0:2) for the match.
13.4 Skipping a Team League match twice during a Team League Season will result in removing the Team from the Team League.
14. Smurf Games ('Dummies')
14.1 Every player may use only a single (his own) account from his Team Roster.
14.2 Managers and Players must not create accounts for other players to use; everyone must register their own account.
14.3 If it is proved that a player’s account has been used by someone else, the Team in which the substitution has taken place is punished with 5 penalty points. The smurf account gets banned from Team League and all its games will be reversed. Repeated Abuse will result in the whole Team getting banned.
15. Double Teaming
15.1 Every Player may play for one Team only.
15.2 Even if a player plays WWIG for one Team and Ladder Team Match for another Team, he will be banned from WWIG and won’t be able to play again in the same Season, not even with another account. All his games will be reversed. If the player is caught playing again, the Team will be penalized with - 10 points.
16. Miscellaneous
16.1 If a player has not played at least one match for his Team during the ongoing Team League Season, he must not play in the Playoffs.
16.2 If a Team reports more than two Tech Wins in Team Matches, further Tech Wins will be disregarded.
16.3 If two Teams finish a Team League Season with the exact same number of points, the Team who has won versus the other in the Season's Team Match receives the higher rank.
