HOUSTON, Texas — December 2, 2011 — Today, Quantic Gaming regretfully announces the dissolution of our partnership with the South Korean StarCraft II team, Incredible Miracle.
The Quantic Incredible Miracle partnership, established on October 21st this year, made Quantic the official representative organization for Incredible Miracle internationally. Through the partnership, Incredible Miracle players attended two foreign events – Blizzcon 2011, and MLG Providence 2011.
Despite the end of this partnership, no hard feelings or ill-will exist between Quantic and Incredible Miracle. It should be emphasized that the decision to dissolve the partnership was made jointly between both organizations, and is being announced formally this quickly out of a genuine sense of obligation and appreciation for the outstanding support shown by our fans and friends.
Kang Dong-hoon, Incredible Miracle’s coach and manager, had this to say in regards to the end of the partnership:
"I am deeply sorry – to all the QIM fans who have supported us – for having to announce the end of this partnership. I really hope that in the future Quantic will become the best international eSports team. We will both seek to maintain a good relationship and I hope to stay friends in the future. I highly appreciate Mark and our friends at Quantic for their kind support, understanding and sincere cordiality."
Quantic Founder & CEO, Mark Ferraz, made the following statement regarding this monumental, yet unfortunately short-lived alliance:
“I regret that our time together was short; both of us were sincere when we initially expressed our desire for a deep & lengthy partnership. I am glad, however, that the time our teams had together was enjoyable and productive - especially the QIM Fan Event we held at Providence. Together, we will complete our immediate participatory competition obligations that remain, as well as continue to support one another into the future through friendship.”
Quantic wishes Mr. Kang and Incredible Miracle all the best in their future endeavors in Korea and beyond. Despite the conclusion of the partnership, Quantic’s StarCraft II roster remains unaffected. Both Quantic and Incredible Miracle are looking forward to a bright and successful future, even if we are unable to share that future together.
Oh wow, I did not see this news coming at all....this is very sad. I was hoping SaSe would become IM's star Protoss along with MVP and NesTea for their respective races.
Best of luck to both teams in the future though! Will SaSe still stay at the IM house in Korea, or will he go back to the GOM house?
Wow even Kim Kardashian's marriage lasted longer than Quantic-IM. I wonder what caused the split. At least both sides were professional about it so as not to cause a shitstorm on the forums.
Well that sucks. I wanted to see MVP, Nestea and them at more foreign events. Now that's in serious doubt. I really wonder why they split. Times like these is when I wish there were no fluff reporters around like Kennigit has suggested so we get the real story instead of the nice PR, we decided to part, but we'll still be BFFs for life, don't worry, blah blah blah.
Is SaSe still gonna be able to stay at the IM house? I think that the IM partnership was at least partly the reason he joined so this is kinda shitting him over if he can't imo. And why did they split? Some internal disagreements or did IM find some one "better"? Really curious:O
Sadly I've always felt this relationship was a bit one-sided where IM is this really hot supermodel girlfriend and quantic is just average joe. I feel bad for Destiny most of all people, as he said he only joined Quantic when they promised a partnership with IM.
