Both teams go for AD/Support top to start but Epik goes for the switch back to bot first. Rammus and Yorick came as well and they get FB and dragon (Dyrus dies to dragon). Epik gets another 2 kills up top and tries to push down the tower but a teleport from Akali back to the lane gets a kill on Sona for Dignitas. Dignitas gets a good timer on dragon and takes it while Epik tries to stop them. Ezreal tries to steal Epik's red but gets caught and this gives Epik the chance to take down mid outer tower. Dignitas goes for the next dragon right as it spawns but Epik sees this and counters with a quick baron. Dignitas realizes this and tries to contest but they were too slow and they lose 2 while only killing 1. Epik gets caought in a 4v5 while Yorick was healing and this gives Dignitas an ace while Epik still had baron buff. Dignitas tries to go for Epik's blue but they get very low and has to base - this gives Epik the opportunity to take baron right as it comes back up. Dignitas tried to steal it but they get 3 killed instead. Epik goes on the seige and takes out a few more towers until baron runs out, then they go for dragon. Dignitas follows them but they were out of position so they lose 3 while only killing Rammus. Both teams posture around Dignitas' red and baron area and Dignitas gets a favourable engagement but Epik turned out to be a bit too tanky for the assasins and Vayne comes in for the cleanup and the ace. There was a pause because Nhat's screen had a disconnect...and the game ends right as we resume the game ;;

Epik goes for a Soraka/Karthus bot and Riven faces off against Skarner up top. Rammus tries for a few ganks bot but they fail and Dignitas couterganks for the FB and take dragon when Skarner teleports bot to secure the kill. Both teams go for the next dragon but they exchange kills and both teams had to wait to go for it again. Dignitas goes for dragon first but gets chased away by Epik because Morgana was soloed by Kennen. Epik has good positioning on the next dragon fight and they get 2 kills along with the dragon. Epik tries for an engage by Dignitas' mid tower but they could not get the focus so they only get 1 while getting aced. Both teams go for dragon but this time it's Dignitas' turn to be out of position since they were split 2-3 and they lose 4 in the process. Epik goes on to take down mid inhib while Skarner bd bot inner tower. Dignitas respawns and chases Epik out of their base and gets a few kills but Skarner got too greedy with the bd and gets killed by Karthus. Some more stuff happen and the game goes on to pause. Then Epik goes on to take the game soon after.

Fight around Epik's blue leads to FB for TSM but both teams even out to 2 kills each. TSM takes the opportunity when Epik goes for their blue again to take dragon with Wriggles/Madreds. Epik takes the next dragon and evens out the game. TSM has the tower lead and is able to split push better. However Epik is still close in the gold by taking the dragons. A good initiate by Skarner ult on Swain takes him out while Akali was pushing out top. TSM has taken down all of the outer towers while EG only took down 1. TSM goes for baron and takes it but they were too low and lose 3 while only killing 2. EG turns the game around with several good teamfights in mid and take the next baron (highlight play by Nhat to silence Leblanc right as she jumps in so she can't jump out). The Leblanc pick really became a liability late game and it showed as EG slowly pushes down all the towers and inhib.

Epik gets FB when Skarner tries to steal blue but fails. Karthus and Nasus came to support but they had to blow flash to get away. This gives Epik the chance to take dragon for free. Some more farming until the next dragon comes up and a big fight ensues with kills going 3-2 in the advantage of TSM. They use this time to take dragon but Trundle dies as Epik comes to stop them. However, Epik goes out of position and TSM takes down mid outer tower in the process. Epik tries to sneak in a baron but TSM catches them and Epik had to retreat. TSM takes this chance to take baron really quickly with Karthus and Tristana gets a triple kill to help secure the match for TSM.

Normal lanes for both teams. Udyr and Maokai try to gank mid at the same time around 5 min and Dignitas takes FB on Kassadin but TSM gets a revenge kill on Karthus. TSM goes to invade on Dignitas' blue and takes out Jatt as he was fighting blue. TSM goes on to take dragon and get another kill on Sona when she tries to ward dragon. TSM dives bot as 4 and take down Sona and the tower. They then turn back to take Dignitas' blue and dragon as well. However they get too low from dragon and gives Dignitas TOO's killing spree gold. Dignitas tries to retaliate with their own blue steal but it goes wrong and they lose 2 and top tower. Dignitas turns it around in the next teamfight around mid and go 3-1 as well as taking down mid inner tower. Dignitas takes the next dragon and TSM attempts to rush baron but Dignitas takes down dragon too quickly and TSM had to back out. This leaves them out of position as Dignitas pushes hard down mid and catches TSM running back. However no one gets any kills and Dignitas gets low. TSM rushes to baron as Dignitas tp back and TSM turns at just the right time to take out Udyr, Karthus, and Rumble. This gives TSM the baron. TSM sieges up the outer towers and get an instagib on Caitlyn as they transition between the lanes. The ensuing teamfight gives TSM the ace while only losing Graves. Baron spawns right around this time but TSM is low and Dignitas rushes baron. TSM tries to stop but Dignitas takes it and gets 4 kills in the process. Game goes back and forth until baron spawns again and TSM wins every subsequent teamfight and takes the game.

TSM takes Dignitas' wraiths while Dignitas' bot lane takes double golems so Jatt had to go gank top after wolves and blue. He got some harassment in on Trundle but didn't accomplish much else. Meanwhile, Reginald (Karthus) got Zilean down low with lay wastes and gets FB solo. Zilean wasted flash though so he gets killed again soon after he comes back to lane. TSM goes for dragon first but Dignitas responds and they trade 2 kills initially. However TSM's HP was higher and they get another kill and end up getting a free dragon. A few more teamfights go back and forth for the teams and TSM goes for baron again when Dignitas tries to take dragon. TSM quickly takes down with Trundle ult/Karthus E and wall/Tristana and turns back onto Dignitas to take the ace. TSM takes the advantage and pushes in for the win.

Zilean wasn't too effective at getting ults off so they never got to fight the 6v5 that they would have wanted. Even though Epik had FB they couldn't farm as well as TSM and TSM had the gold lead for pretty much the entire game. For some reason Signed would not use teleport for a gank while Yorick had some pretty good TP counterganks and TSM gets to the kill lead. They also controlled dragon very well and dominated the game.

Karthus gets FB with his ult and this gives him the advantage over Kennen in mid. TSM was able to shut down Riven top with Vayne/Alistar and so Epik could not get the damage to burst down Karhus early on. This gives Karthus a lot of time to use his E and he gets very fed. This game was a complete domination by TSM, so much so that Epik surrendered after several aces.

Some things like RFLX's roster and the semifinals matchups will need to be updated.

What I find most interesting is the extended series rule, especially #7. It's not that likely to happen since there are only 4 teams present and the upper bracket winner has already beat 2 of the 3 other teams, but this could set up a long grand finals if things go the right way.

I think Dignitas wins this tournament, but by a narrow margin. TSM will give them a run for their money, especially if they play like they did during the qualifiers.

1. Dignitas
2. TSM
3. RFLX
4. EPIK

i think you are underestimating EPIK way too much.
EPIK is actually a really good team which I think could possibly win.

on a side note.

Really? You put Epik 4th after Reflex? Despite their strong performances at previous offline events?

I can understand if you think that they'll under-perform due to their role-swapping, but expecting them to lose to a team that CLG says they could 4v5 is a bit harsh.

I agree, EPIK is a very good team. I love Dan and Dyrus' play alot, always been fans. They always do well, but with only 4 teams someone has to come in last. If they bust out something new here they have a very good chance. If they play like they did, well then it doesn't look too good for them. That being said they won't get walked all over.

I didn't get to see Epik play their qualifiers, but even if you're basing this on qualifier play, it's hard to believe that Epik would look worse than Reflex, when Reflex lost 2-0 to CLG playing Lapaka on support, had solo deaths in lane (e.g. didn't even get ganked, just straight up died 1v1 stupidly), and when Hotshot said after the fact that they could have played 4v5 and still won.

My money is on epik. I give west an advantage over voyboy, give salce a firm advantage over scarra, jatt gets the advantage over dyrus, and put bot lane even. IMO its much easier to hide a mediocre jungle early game than it is to deal with the fact that you are going against the best US ap carry and best US assassin player.

TSM is just gonna implode at some point and the no names hav no shot.

TSM has been looking beast in scrims lately, so I think they can rival Dignitas. I hope so anyway

Looking forward to it - I think Dignitas are going to take it - purely because FNATIC weren't invited.

More like a bullshit grand finals for the winners bracket team. If the winners bracket team hasn't played the loser bracket team then they lose the first set they get really screwed over. If they win the first set they win the tournament. However, if they lose the first set the score carries over to a best of 7 where they're down at least one game. Basically if the winners bracket team doesn't win the "initial match" (It's more like a set) they turn the winner's bracket advantage into a I lost in the first round advantage.

I don't like their rule terminology so I'm going to call "match" a "set" instead ^_^

Say Dignitas faces TSM in the grand finals. Dignitas smashed Reflex in the winners bracket semis and then beat epik in the upper bracket final, therefore they haven't played TSM yet who got their heads on straight for the losers bracket and managed to come back through to take on Dignitas in the grand finals.

(Dignitas won the winner's bracket final and is playing the team they have not played in the grand finals)
If Dignitas wins the initial set they win the tournament (standard double elim bracket rules). However, if they lose the initial set 2-1 then the series is extended and Dignitas must win three games instead of the standard two of any other double bracket that I have ever seen. If they lose 2-0 it's even worse and they must four games instead of the standard two. You're essentially punishing the winner's bracket finalist if they don't stomp the other team in the grand finals. These rules are completely absurd, and while it could give us a bunch of extra games (assuming the winner's bracket team can dig themselves out of the grave) I don't think they're good rules. It's pretty unlikely that this will happen I suppose, but it's not that outlandish.

If they have already played the team they also get screwed over in some situations. Say Dignitas beats TSM in the winner's bracket finals 2-1. TSM clears the loser's bracket and gets their rematch in the grand finals. The series is extended to a best of 7 and the first to four wins is declared the champion. In a traditional double elimination bracket, one or two sets would be played. One if the winner's won again and two if the losers won the first set and the winner would be determined by the winner of the second set. However, if TSM goes into the finals down one game they only need to win three games instead of the traditional four. Some combinations actually give advantages to the winners over a traditional double elimination bracket so it isn't clear to me if this is as bad as the previous example, but I question why they're using these rules in the first place.

(Dignitas won the winner's final versus TSM 2-1)
Series starts 2-1
Dignitas wins next two of the next three games (Dignitas 4-X TSM, X < 3)
no rule difference from standard double elimination bracket
TSM wins two of the next three games
There is a huge deviation here from stand double elimination bracket rules. TSM needs to win three games total instead of the traditional four. If Dignitas didn't won a game in this set of games it would get carried through unlike traditional double elimination rules so they get an advantage. However, if TSM takes two games in a row then a new set isn't started per traditional double elimination rules and TSM must win one more game to win the tournament while Dignitas still has to win two. Winner's bracket disadvantage ^_^

(Dignitas won the winner's final versus TSM 2-0)
Series starts 2-0

The grand finals will play out with a huge advantage to Dignitas. In a traditional double elimination bracket, TSM would have to win two best of threes to win the tournament while Dignitas would only need to win one. However, with these extended series rules, up to five games can be played with Dignitas needing to win any two of these and TSM needing to win four. If the winner's bracket finals is a 2-0 that team is almost guaranteed to win the tournament. In a traditional double elimination bracket, the losers of the winner's bracket final could take both sets 2-1 and win the tournament, but this is not possible in the extended series format.

I don't think this is how a double elimination bracket should work personally, but I can see arguments for both sides making sense from a game play perspective. You're welcome to switch the team names around if you're not a fanboy like me as well ^_^

EDIT: Looks pretty enough now I think

If that's how it works (I have trouble understanding the rule wording) then it's really bullshit l0l.

Also my picks for what happens:

1. Dignitas
2. TSM
3. Epik
4. Reflex

Whomever gets to play Reflex gets a free pass to the winner's final as far as I'm concerned. Maybe they'll impress us and be the new rising stars and win the whole thing, but if CLG can manhandle them 2-0 with lapaka support I don't see how any of these teams could drop a game to them. Dignitas fanboy puts Dignitas #1 always and I think TSM is stronger than Epik from the scrims I've watched, although those three in any order wouldn't surprise me. Dignitas had a poor showing in the last tournament so I hope they're playing rampage style this time around.

2) Dignitas
3) TSM
4) Reflex

I heard somewhere that there was going to be a open bracket as well for this?

Blitzkrieg0, that's exactly what I took from the wording of the rule but didn't want to write a few paragraphs about it :D Thanks. It's an odd system but MLG has always had a weird way of handling competition formats with their extended series stuff.

The "open bracket" was just an online qualifer with 32 teams fighting it out for 4 spots to the live event.

Mousepads and clothing are common. Maybe you can ask TSM for a t-shirt (they're so colorful) and get an autograph there.
