Must be hard on these teams having to play during so many different patches. Only getting a few weeks of practice with shyv patch, and then having played with new talents and masteries for the few days leading up to MLG would mess with me a bit. The first few games might be a bit hectic for everybody, since there is no way to practice on the old patch. They could use the tournament realm, but no other team is going to want to play an old patch besides the ones going to MLG. They aren't going to want to show each other their strats.

I'm pretty sure most of the TSM - CLG/eHome/MiG scrims have been on the tournament client so they're prepared enough for that. Other than the masteries and summoner spells, the rest of the patch were minor changes. This gives the players some practice even in solo q.

The scrims with ehome and MiG were on NA.
TSM and CLG scrims from today were on tournament realm.

I'll be there, mostly with a group of my SC2 friends. Wwwwhhhhyyyy are they scheduling the matches to start so early Saturday? The Friday night stuff always runs so late! Hopefully Providence has a better midnight-2am food selection than Columbus.

Not to mention that I assume 10am would be considered early for most 'pro' lol player schedules, certainly won't help the jetlagged, etc. I assume they are trying to get the games in at a time that will be reasonable for European viewers, which is reasonable.

Did LoL have its own stage/screen area at Raleigh?

It's honestly fucking hard to know how EPIK can play since they never train and scrim together. Dyrus seems to be pretty successful in SoloQ, Westrice is a beast, I don't kwon about Salce but he's pretty famous, Nhat is kind of good, Dan is good I think never saw him play AD yet...

It had it's own part of the convention floor, but no separate screen. They might have been schedule to have one for the finals, but the spec mode problems meant nothing ended up happening. I do not know the arrangements for Providence.

Also, sorry for not being able to make banners and pics and stuff before MLG. I'll try and get something nice up for IEM Kiev in January!

I really can't tell who will win. I feel as if TSM has gotten closer over the last few months and their scrims against CLG are showing off a good amount of teamwork and tenacity (opposed to CLG's BEST teamwork XD)... Epik do really well in general... Idk, Dignitas, despite all the controversy, is still a very good team

Thanks for the link to the coverage, I really appreciate it! I noticed your post after I started receiving hits from TL.

We're going to be posting player interviews, pictures and have a live blog rolling throughout the weekend as we do our onsite coverage, so be sure to check back!

If you guys have any feedback about the writing or the site, I'd love to hear it. We're looking to do for LoL what the excellent staff at TL has done for SC2.

Cheers,

Dan Dinh is no longer Epik's jungler. He is the AD carry now.

Dan Dinh jungler -> AD Carry
Dyrus top -> jungler
Westrice AD Carry -> top

I actually have seen them pull Westrice into jungle on riven and send dyrus top as well. Probably the most flexible team out of everyone.

TSM seems like the underdog though. Their games vs Dignitas in Rampage were pretty bad loses with Chaox being shut down by ganks and then Dignitas taking the global objectives by being exactly on time for them. The game TSM did win seemed centered around RainMan winning top with Teemo, but the series made it seem like Dignitas is the stronger team. Although they probably needed to make sure to ban skarner for game 3.
