Only getting a few weeks of practice with shyv patch, and then having played with new talents and masteries for the few days leading up to MLG would mess with me a bit. The first few games might be a bit hectic for everybody, since there is no way to practice on the old patch. They could use the tournament realm, but no other team is going to want to play an old patch besides the ones going to MLG. They aren't going to want to show each other their strats. I'm pretty sure most of the TSM - CLG/eHome/MiG scrims have been on the tournament client so they're prepared enough for that. Other than the masteries and summoner spells, the rest of the patch were minor changes. This gives the players some practice even in solo q.

Not to mention that I assume 10am would be considered early for most 'pro' lol player schedules, certainly won't help the jetlagged, etc. I assume they are trying to get the games in at a time that will be reasonable for European viewers, which is reasonable. Did LoL have its own stage/screen area at Raleigh?

They might have been schedule to have one for the finals, but the spec mode problems meant nothing ended up happening. I do not know the arrangements for Providence. Also, sorry for not being able to make banners and pics and stuff before MLG. I'll try and get something nice up for IEM Kiev in January!

I noticed your post after I started receiving hits from TL. We're going to be posting player interviews, pictures and have a live blog rolling throughout the weekend as we do our onsite coverage, so be sure to check back! If you guys have any feedback about the writing or the site, I'd love to hear it. We're looking to do for LoL what the excellent staff at TL has done for SC2. Cheers, --MonteCristo
