I am being provided by the tournment 3 days stay by hotel and am declaring that I will do whatever it is necessary to win - as to be be seen in the round of 64 I can promise you my white face - I will be as amusing as I can for all teamliquid and reddit users as I am here both to play but even more importantly I wish to entertain.
I arrive this Saturday at 4pm in Korea, who in Korea do I get in touch with and MUST I do before leaving Korea win or lose?
I am not on any competing team and I am only wishing to give my opponents some fury =]
I look like 95% Artosis and 5% IdrA you will see me ^^;

Hi Nick,
Good to hear you will be attending the final. However, we provide hotel stay only during prelim. Also I will reserve a front seat for you for the final. If you have a guest coming with you let me know.
Cheers

GOM is paying for your hotel over the qualifying days?
Also I'm just bronze so I can't really give you a tip. Though I can give you a tip from competitive fencing. Don't sweat a loss if you go down 0-1 or 1-1, or even if you fall back in a particular game. That is key to competition.

I appreciate the outlook as a fellow Canadian to another I will represent along HuK and others - hopefully to be ranked in future GOM events.
Wish everyone luck - we wish to make you all proud regardless of region for the proliferation of the game supersedes wins and losses.

Yes I wouldn't mind a free stay in Korea for the chance to play in the biggest esports tournament around. Do share the details.

Well, if you're confident, don't rely on cheese and get ready to be cheesed on, as I heard it, in the qualifiers there's supposed to be a lot of cheesing going on, especially of normal people against pro's (as most think its their only choice of winning).

play defensively, scout well, respond properly to cheese, and no matter wut dont freak out and throw away any advantage u might get in a game.

Play like a Canadian.
Flawlessly.

Eat a live octopus: I vowed to do this if I ever went to S.Korea.
Don't try any cheese/Proxy if you haven't practiced it. Man... It was just a casual tourney, but I lost the first round cause I was gonna hide a pylon in the smoke in Metalopolis (my 2nd pylon, derp derp) then he found it and killed it just before warpgates finished. Then I checked mine, but forgot to attack move my zealot into the smoke before I rallied him away and he spotted the probe but didn't kill it. He did exactly what I intended to do to him. I was so angry and frusterated.
Also, once you have an advantage don't squander it, in the loser brackets (Only 4 diamond players rofl) I had this guy. I had the game. I 4 warpgated his ramp and was sniping depots and a techlab and I had minimal losses, I saw him going for a fast banshee and dropped a forge and a cannon at my main and expo. Then I decided to go for a fast win with a couple of voidrays but he broke through the rocks with a death army of siegetanks/marauders. I was so angry at myself for losing. But enough venting.
Don't be nervous. Enjoy your time in Korea. Eat an Octopus.

Just stick to what you know and enjoy yourself. Good luck!
