I really question why Blizzard gave the Hellions their current look, when the Vulture was one of the most bad-ass looking vehicles in the original SC.

I think the Hellion could use some work aesthetically. Other units I hated before grew on me. The Hellion though, nope still can't get over it.

Battlecruisers are too puffy and toy-like. They need to be more aggressive looking and better proportioned like the sc1 counterparts. Otherwise terran are fairly good besides the buildings, which a fair amount of them look like fisher price items.

I'd like to see player-colored glow return to the protoss buildings. Protoss otherwise looks awesome, just wish they had more glow and more intense bloom. I'm curious why they removed the protoss' texture from sc1 and just stuck with a flat yellow though.

Zerg are all brown. Pretty boring imo. Models are great.

I do agree hellions look a little too toy like. Most units look pretty good to me. I think the battle cruiser should definitely be bigger. I mean look at ultras....

hellion: shit.
battlecruiser : looks like a toy
stalker : does not look as good as concept art.
dark templars: the most disappointment.. with the invisibility armor looks terrible.

siege tank:iron pile
and carrier: just sucks

Hellions look like a beach buggy with a flame thrower. I also dislike how the thor and siege tank models behave currently. Their pathing through a group of units make them do all kinds of dances, + tanks can be pushed sideways from a group of infantry. That breaks the spell of the game completely, for me at least.

On the other hand, I think that the Zerg animations are really superb, especially buildings, etc. And I adore the artwork that's been done on protoss. Every unit there seems aesthetically outstanding (especially the Immortals, yum!).

Roaches look silly. Scthye-like appendages don't make sense. attackgoo animation is too big.
Brood Lords need work.
Tempest's blue/gray coloration looks much better than Carrier's.
Archon; two handed attack looked more ominous. Energy shield needs to look more fluffy.
Nidas Worms might look cooler if it's head were to completely split open upon delivery, in a somewhat gory fashion.
Spine crawlers need lighting changes for attack animation, the glare looks silly.
Terran build animation would look cooler without those big support beams.
Ultralisks; reduce head-shield size, excessive horns/spikes look tacky... remove some.
Marauder attack lighting looks a bit off.

I kinda like the idea of DTs having the whole cloak thing. Like...an actual cloak.

Fits their concept better imo...

Broodlords look ok but the little broodlings floating along side looks outright silly.
Nydus worm animation should sync with units popping out instead of that throat tube thing just pumping at a constant rate. Nydus building animation is kinda dumb too, too rolly.

Colossus looks absurd when it walks.
Archon attack should be more violent and chaotic.

Hellion... just terrible. Should make sounds like a little kid playing with their hotwheels if they are gonna keep that model.

All of the models in Sc2 look eons better than anything in SC, that said i didn't play SC for the graphics, i played it for gameplay.

I love the graphics tbh

I started playing ladder on low settings (from medium), but I can't wait to play the campaign on high settings when it comes out and go all lore-nerdy
