The Lower leagues at that time were pretty hellish. keep in mind the map pool. I still wake up in a cold sweat over Delta Quadrant.

Corruptors are slow and avoidable, and from what I assume, the non-Corruptor using player can then turtle into a ground-based army to counter the Mutas and Corruptors.

Ling muta almost always beats hydras. If you go hydras then you need to spend a lot of gas on banes to protect against the large amount of lings, which cuts into your hydra count. It is also pretty hard to get a 3rd on some maps with hydras vs mutas unless you get a shit ton of spores.

Game 2 is on Belshir Vestige
Same builds as G1 - Hatch/gas/pool into speed/ However Revival gets carapace as Idra gets a bane nest.
Idra goes up to lair and is able to scout the evo chamber. Revival goes to lair just after.
Both players have their gases. Revival takes a faster third as Idra gets his spire. Revival takes his spire as idra takes his third.
Revival starts to pump out lings to get a cancel on the third while also running lings into the main. But idra smartly has a spine in the main and is able to hold on both fronts. Both players now getting mutas and carapace. Revival also finishing 1 attack for lings.
Revival managing to get ahead in drones again.
Muta/ling fight in the middle of the map, but with 1/1 on lings revival is able to win on the ground and his mutas also win in the air. Revival takes it.
