This might be a question to you, but it is not relevant to the question posed. There's plenty of people who enjoy unfeatured streams. Massan, Blade, HTOMario, just to name a few. I want to know why people consider Avilo being featured valuable to the community - I dare say it has more of a negative influence than a positive.
A newer browser might come across Featured Streams, thinking he's going to find something cool, click the first one (which sadly the A of Avilo's most often is) and come across somebody producing contant negativity without backing it up with anything valuable to the viewers but milicious pleasure for those frustrated with the game.

*just shakes my head @ Toastie
I realize you're butt hurt over getting timed out, (not once but several times with warnings), because you didn't follow chat rules, were insulting viewers, and being just a not nice spectator. And the hateful PMs you sent to me should be reported to Twitch, but w/e.
Often times I wonder why people like you watch avilo's stream, if your main purpose is to troll.
And the reason avilo gets so many viewers is because, like Heathenhill said, (in a rather backhanded compliment) he's a good player and is extremely entertaining.
He's not the only one I've heard call hackers/cheaters. There's a rather lengthy thread here on TL with names. And he's not the only one that has met the hackers/cheaters on ladder, but he does call them out. No shame in that.
P.S. you get top feature, not because of your initial, but the number of viewers *rolls eyes

I'll not go into the nonsense you start the argument with:
He's an above average player, I give you that. His extreme entertainyness is what I dispute. He doesn't 'entertain': he downtalks and insults everybody and everything better than him and that is poisonous as evidenced by the way the chat has to be moderated.
P.S. avilo 1150 Destiny 3875 NightEnD 150 PainUser 142 ROOTCatZ 804 This is the list of current featured streamers. Please explain to me how Avilo is above Destiny as a result of viewer numbers and not alphabetical order (which, by the way, is accurate for the entire list, unlike your viewer based order, which has 2 irregularities?

Hater going to hate as usual. If you don't like my stream, don't watch it. It's that simple. People watch my stream because i commentate, analyze my play, often times have fun, play games with viewers, do replay analysis, and occasionally real talk about balance that they don't get from anywhere else.
The more negative influence are people like you that hate on players you don't like while hypocritically supporting others that do / say the exact same things or similar things.

Stop being so butthurt on a timeout. Avilo is an entertainer. He's able to commentate his play and crack jokes during and in between games. He interacts with his viewers. He makes guides and helps people out on a daily basis. He even has a day based on helping out his viewers: replay analysis sundays. Don't hate; appreciate. ~one of the mods who thought you could hold a decent discussion but not anymore because of your hate, Adamzaman

I suppose we have quite a different take on this part:
People watch my stream because i commentate, analyze my play, often times have fun, play games with viewers, do replay analysis, and occasionally real talk about balance that they don't get from anywhere else. Commentate mostly includes, and I quote: "FUCKING IMMORTALS, SUCH A JOKE", "WHAHAHHA What am I supposed to do against this amove nonsense", "Hahaha two storms and all he does is attack move and warpprism", "Fucking warpgates what a joke". Other than that, it mostly involves degrading any kind of gamesense/slick moves from the opponent as streamcheating or hacking instantaniously. Analyze the play: Which mostly stops with opening the replay, going 8x through it and laughing at how 'easy' you lost your half-sieged tanks to immortals.
As a sidenote, your 'real talk about balance' is only gotten at your stream because you're the only one believing in that opinion on balance which goes quite strongly against the opinion of the players that are genuinly good.
The more negative influence are people like you that hate on players you don't like while hypocritically supporting others that do / say the exact same things or similar things. Other like who that do what same things?

Well I suppose there's different listings of the stream order in that case, which proves us both wrong.
Also, unsubstantiated ad hominems are not the way to go.

I think you are alone on this battle mate, stop the hate and if you really dislike avilo so bad then dont watch his stream, your attitude is kind of childish and will get you nowhere. You already shared your point of view, let it go.

Currently the battle seems to be fought between me, a neutral party, the 'victim' and his mods :-) Oh well I have said what I wanted to. Night

Quite frankly, you're not the victim. The attacker is never the victim; however, I'm sorry you feel like one. But I'm happy you got the attention you needed.

It's a setting under Site Preferances.

Could you please stop the offensive stance towards me just because you disagree.

Why do people watch streams they don´t like? Don´t like it, don´t watch it and get on with your day.

It's a setting under Site Preferances.
Then change your preferences, FFS. Sorting by viewers is the default, even.

http://www.twitch.tv/avilo/b/482903316 in this vod at 03h02m52s Avilo after hardly reading the posts. HeatherHill (whom, btw, made a case for Avilo himself) are stupid, retarded, posting garbage, "ignore the fucking haters" and the next time we get into the stream chat we'll get instabanned. Nicely responded well timed after the forum rules which clearly state to have respect for streamers and viewers.
It seems to be normal to regard every opinion other than Avilo's as 'hating' and 'trolling' as such not pay attention to it - simply because it is another opinion: The other opinion gets treated in the way you see here. Just insult the person for having an opinion and then dodge the confrontation.

ZaMa, I already replied about that: there is HeatherHill whom I refered to as a neutral party; RaZorwire, I don't think saying that has any contribution to the discussion, especially after I've already said I was wrong; Daswollvieh, I've also wrote that down: I think a stream with such a mentality should not be featured.
Why is none of you making the effort to actually read what I write and are you all instantly going for my throat for no reason? Feels like I cracked some ego's.

That need to be in the center of attention will fade over time, hopefully sooner than later. Until then, why not stop throwing yourself under the bus, crying murder?
Otherwise, have a look here:
Ways To Qualify For A Feature:
Be in any region's WCS system. This includes Premier and Challenger Leagues. Have an appearance in the Round of 16 of any premier tournaments as defined by Liquipedia. Have an extraordinary amount of viewers on your own merits. This doesn't happen often but occasionally people will grow their stream to have several hundred viewers at all times and this is worth consideration.
While you may not agree with the attitude, there is nothing wrong with the stream being featured (actually it happened quite late though there were plenty of viewers). So, I suggest to do the grown-up thing here: care less about what other people have and move on with your own life. No need to try and become a martyr for all that is good in the world on a stream page.

You just did the exact same thing again..?
|
Demuslim is a much better streamer and more popular for a reason. Too bad he thinks he can do better in tournaments by streaming less...
Avilo has hilarious celebrations, innovative builds and is making turteling an artform. Some more respect for his opponent could be appreciated though. Demuslim is also more concerned about teaching his viewers stuff rather than showing off his superiority.
