voted for dan the man ofcourse, but all of these casters r just great :D during gomtv tasteless was by far, ok? by far the best commentator along with superdanielman but without his korean sidekick hes been slacking on the humor. funniest caster but he should give more effort in the tsl ^^ did he ran out of monkey milk?  | ||

Artosis has a bias towards the wrong race and players so I don't like that either. (Like watching R.Federer on swiss TV, it just sucks) Chill seems to be off sometimes but handles that pretty good. Day[9] is correcting almost all the faults he makes immediately so he is the most solid caster for me. | ||

After voting, I realised there were times throughout my progression as an avid Broodwar watcher that i'd vote for each of the casters as the best. When I first started out, Tasteless was easily the best of the four. His only rival in my mind was the ever crazy Klazart. Tasteless's rabid gibbering enthusiasm was great. I feel his commentary was aimed at everybody, it was very accessable and you could immediately get a feel for the game, even if you couldn't follow very well yourself. As my knowledge of the game gained further depth, I became more of a fan of Artosis and Chill. Especially during the previous TSL. Also tastless doesnt seem to get excited anymore. Think it was during JF vs GosI[Terran] where JF's shuttle got intercepted while Tasteless was having a rant. He just ignored it and continued ranting. The "old" tasteless in the early GOM-seasons would have yelled and got major hyped. | ||

as for the rest, i'd rather not say, making a 1-4 list would probably result in some people being offended~ chill says "oh my god" way too much though | ||

Day on the otherhand has elaborate points, and this occassionally means while explaining the viablility of a build order, he can miss some action, or has to keep cutting himself off, which then makes the original explanation hard to follow. I find Artosis and Chill prolly vary between the two extremes, with Artosis doing a better role of a lead type caster and Chill doing a better role as the 'secondary' caster role. It's funny to me that Artosis and Tasteless who both feel like lead casters are on the same day, and chill and day are sharing a day when they both feel to me like the secondary role type of caster. by lead and secondary I mean the lead caster general keeps the pace of the game, explaining the more basic stuff and getting excited as frequent as possible, while the secondary caster's role is more by adding more indepth information to accentuate the leads summing up of basic action. I hope that makes sense, and yeah I think you all cast great. I ended up voting Tasteless purely because while I appreciate the deeper definitions, I want SC to be more publicly acceptable, and in that situation the dude going nuts and saying funny stuff about ninja dt's and what not is generally going to entertain those who really can't tell what is going on in game. e.g. good for showing chicks the game. | ||
