I'm not a religious guy myself, but I think it is best if we don't go into religion bashing. Religion has caused a lot of problems, but it has also done a lot of good throughout history, such as giving billions of people a moral guide, creating community ties around religious institutions, and encouraging literacy so more people can read the Bible, Koran, etc. I think it would have been best if that guy had just been banned and it be over with it, rather than the mod stoop down and sling insults back.
In the end, the guy's posts were pretty infuriating, and I can see the mod notes were just out of frustration. Nothing too serious, but I think mods should just ban and be done with it rather than respond to the trolls and flamers.

if you have religious views you should keep them to yourself, same advice the mods give to people who just cant seem to stop being sexist or racist. if you are in a public forum, if you cannot back up what you say with logical reasoning or facts then dont say it.

Was just a copy and paste, you guys shouldn't read too much into it. Wasn't one of the default ban reasons but it was the same user so it appears on his moderation history page where I assume Pholon saw it. The fairy tales bit was originally written by me and is not one of the scripted tl bans, if anyone strongly objects to it then they can feel free to PM me about it and we can discuss it.

This is clarification for my ban. I stole the banreason from Kwark who banned him earlier with that for the same offence. I thought a copy/paste would drive the point home. if you'd like to discuss whether the lack of personal beliefs can play a role in moderating feel free to open a thread in forum feedback pm Kwark.

Maybe it's because every two weeks there seems to be someone who's had their feelings hurt (keep in mind i'm not alluding to anyone in particular here) by a warning or something, and has to threaten to sue the entirety of TL.

I don't think you are getting the message. Do NOT use TL to advertise yourself, even tangentially, because I'll be waiting, and I'll find out.
I was greatly interested by this ban, as I've been silently lurking with a devilish smile on my face whenever this guy made a blog.
He seems like the typical blog-newbie kind of guy, replying to every post in his blogs, sometimes bumping his own blogs (not realizing that there's little interest for them). I don't know why, but I find those kinds of bloggers interesting.

That was quite possibly one of the best threads and ban "situations" I've had the pleasure of reading. I feel sorry for Dejavu for being screwed over, and Storrzerg and his family are amazing to help Dejavu out. I'm happy Chill laid down the definitive hammer on these assholes,(Semih, Tad,Lou, Bukkit, although Lou seems like the lesser of the evils) from the Summary they were scamming TL Members left and right throughout the weekend or just generally abusing the "TL Member Trust".
@Gmarshal Ban - First thing that came to my mind is, moderators have a way to "Subscribe to a Users posts" similar to how we subscribe to a thread and get updated. We're all puppets!
