It can be seriously possible that the earthquake did have an effect on the Asian internet connection to USA if the undersea cables between Japan and USA were damaged during the earthquake. And this seems to be the case according to BBC at least. If the ban was because of the attitude, I can agree on that because it makes a joke about a horrible disaster which isn't appropriate at all. I would also agree for the ban if it was because it was posted on a TSL LR thread (which seems to have a lot of lag whine). The ban reason just doesn't seem to add up to that. | ||

I'm pretty sure that we use satellites rather than very long cables and I'm pretty sure that Korean internet is at least like 10x faster than US internet. Also pretty sure Japan's earthquake didn't affect Koreans internet. | ||

Sure some guys will get hit hard but in the long run it might help a bit more than it hurts. Or Mahini just wants to put on the hurting. Either way it isn't really a "bad" thing. Although I kinda doubt LR threads will ever get fixed. I was so upset reading the LR thread for TSL last night. Sitting there watching some really entertaining games and all people can do is bitch about things that are completely out of TL.net's hands. Such a spoilt air among people these days , makes me rather sad. Then you get a guy like Moonbear doing updates constantly throughout the night. That guy deserves something I think :< | ||
