EU and US were never huge with BW so that will always be SC2 but I guess it is possible for BW to come back, it is not like the Korean BW scene was dying when SC2 came out. I will tell you that sc2 has nothing to do with BW in terms of popularity, of course if progamers switch back it brings a bit of exposure but in long term it doesn't achieve anything. BW won't be resurrected unless someone does the same thing that was done with DotA because let's face it who wants to start to play a 15 years old game, that is insanely demanding mechanically and requires tons of practice to simply win against the worst players. I have played much more SC2 in my life than BW there are insane amount of game engine flaws/horrible design that can immediately make today's gamer turn of the game, of course these things are also the appeal of the game for us who want nostalgia (I was introduced to BW when I was 4 years old and I love the graphic, and the stupid bugged AI but probably only because it is the part of the game and this makes the game great, if the game had beautiful shiny graphics I wouldn't be able to feel the same as I do when I play BW). With all those shiny new games coming out every year BW has no chance because the simplest features are missing from BW. An esport game MUST HAVE an automatic matchmaking, basically today there is no multiplayer game that doesn't have it. And this is only the tip of the iceberg there are many more things that have to be changed in order to BW become appealing a little bit to an average player. We will see a bit of increase in BW's popularity in the upcoming months, it's definitely a possibility, with Birdie's new server coming up that on paper has a lot of important features (but no one has seen it yet so it is possible that it will work horribly so I don't get my hopes up). And the ex-BW pros switching back to BW but the interest can only last for a few months, BW won't reborn because of it. Or this whole stuff will simply fail, the new server wont attract anyone/it will be unplayable for various reasons/the features crash the program all the time and it completely becomes a pain in the ass so ppl won't even bother with it etc. and the BW pros will realize that it is pointless to play the game and be part of the competition now and from the occasional streaming they will return to their real life and apply to an ordinary job. I hope the first case will become the reality and really really hope that Birdie's server will bring in thousands of Koreans and new players and SC2 players that want to transition. Because it will be wasted time from them if the server will only have 100 players online at a time, it has to be bigger than ICCUP and have to kill it, because I don't think that with such a small playerbase the foreigner scene could sustain 2 servers. SO Birdie fighting!~~~~ And of course the best case scenario is that Valve (or a similar developer who can do the same that Valve's done with Dota2) will create BW2 and it will make a big splash, but that probably will only remain a dream because today no one really cares about RTS games anymore only MOBAs/ARTS/ASSFAGGOTS. User was temp banned for this post. It was an ok post, then MOBA, etc bashing

Please stop being so belligerent when you argue with people.
Of your last ban didn't make sense to you? It's physically tiresome to keep having to watch reports come in about your posting and arguening style and to have to Judge them to be non actionable by a hair every single time.
Guess what, at a certain point this becomes so annoying and obviously irksome not only to myself but to dozens if not more active users in adition to more then a handful of active moderation staff that I'm stepping in.
Having said that I strongly suggest you stop being such a passive aggresive twat in every single argument you get in. It's just depressing to have to be confronted with it almost on at the very least a weekly basis for quite a while now.
Get over it and start acting more civil from now on. These faux ad hominems do not help you get your point across nor do they vindicate you in any manner. Shape up.
MoP down, a moment of silence please.

i think this roughly translates to MoP being a good poster.

No, it roughly translates to him being banned and now PMming me about how he has been acting like a standup guy and that I'm demanding that he impeaches his integrity. How integrity got to be a part of him being a passive aggressive and offensive poster noone knows.

Try reading the thread. Jesus Christ stop being so passive-aggressive and acting superior all the time. Forgive them for not reading through 8 pages worth of wild speculation. Right back at you. And RaNgEd had just posted on the previous page that it's not Welmu. How is that remotely speculation when he's part of NrS? The vast majority of this thread is wild speculation. Personally, when posting in something like this, I wouldn't bother reading every single page for small snippets of information. Just because you do doesn't mean you can act so goddamn obnoxious to others. This goes for nearly all of your posts I've seen in the past year. And just because you have a writer icon doesn't mean you can act so goddamn obnoxious to me. This goes for nearly all your posts I've seen addressed to or relating to me that I've seen in the past year. :D :D :D Simmer down child. You're not as important as you think. And don't try to pretend that just because you have this perception everyone else does as well. :D I'm not being obnoxious to you because of my writer icon, I'm doing it because you are an awful poster who has contributed little to the site, and who everyday I seem incessantly flaming and baiting people in arguments. Grow up and learn some manners. I think I've done a decent amount for Liquipedia and Aligulac thank you very much. One drop of cleaning detergent doesn't make up for a mountain of shit. Again, nothing but your opinion. If it was "a mountain of shit" I'd probably have more than two bans by now. And I'd like to see you add tournaments from scratch, detail by detail, when nobody else bothers to. I did for TLPD
