Surely if he actually has an elevated standard he should be judged more harshly instead of more leniently if there is even such a standard to speak of? Something that is politically correct or incorrect is entirely anecdotal to the political atmosphere of localized environments, and is of zero indication to how rational or well reasoned it is. But I understand the need for association with populist counterculture, even if it has no actual ideology of its own and is just fueled by personal dissatisfaction with the status quo, it's the same reason why someone like Hitchens will always be more popularly celebrated by the internet than someone like Chomsky.
If you have to insist to insult someone because you've already made the decision that the other person is necessarily antagonist to your view point, you might as well not say anything at all because by your own mindset it's pointless and you are just doing it as a form of self-indulgence for your own ego.
