I vote eternal optimist, believing in humanity even when it has failed him again and again. Also to be honest I think that thread is just going to keep going down hill, but who knows, maybe kwark's faith will be rewarded.

Everything is fine here until the last two sentences. Taken separately those are fine but combine with the rest, it just looks like you are imposing yours views unto him. I can't accept that because I think everyone is entitled to its opinion (and that's an opinion about how to live one's life - despicable and anti-social but still an opinion) but it's not a huge issue , whereas your lack of diplomacy makes me very uncomfortable.
You probably knows why a guy like him would post that, so why are you antagonizing him like this ? I don't mind him being kicked out of the website but I mind when you can't take 2 mins to try to explain to him why his opinion isn't acceptable socially. Without that the most likely consequence of the ban will be him being comforted in the idea that he rules over the world and per extension women. Which is not what you want !
Social work takes much more than just harsh social punishment. And TL despite having a good moderating corpse lacks the educating part, and maybe you feel it isn't TL moderators role to do that but I can't help but think that a small effort could sometimes makes things better.

Otolia, I'm not sure that a ban note (or some sort of discussion leading up to or post-ban) is an environment where most people are receptive to learning anyway.
Also, I can't think of a ban reason that more reflects TL Commandment #1.

If someone can't figure out for themselves as to why saying certain things isn't socially acceptable I think it's a waste of time trying to explain it to them either, just ban and move on, now seriously if you want to continue this discussion, website feedback.
