I think the perfect response to that would've been "brace yourself, the warning is coming."

The scarab is on a timer, so if you can run away for long enough they'll dud. Also, the scrab is a physical object that takes up space. Therefore the ai must find a path to it's target. You can then build your your buildings tight so the scrabs must go around, then you run behind your buildings and time out the scarab. Basically anti-scarab simcity. Fun stuff. Reaver micro is basically hotkey (let's say 4) the shuttle. Right click towards target, wireframe drop the reaver. Select both reaver and shuttle and right click target. Press 4 and right click past the reaver to circle the shuttle back along reaver path to keep it from slowing down. Select the reaver, make scarabs (press 'r') and as the shuttle passes by, click on it and the reaver will pick up without the shuttle slowing down. There are variants on it, but the basic idea is to keep the shuttle moving so it doesn't slow down and to keep the reaver moving to new spots to do maximum damage and to avoid defending troops. Pick up and drop, pick up and drop. Really good reaver-shuttle micro (not me) can pick apart a base. Semih was doing a bit of it on Morrow's channel the other day.

![]() The other thing is the splash is directional (it splashes backwards.) So the juicier targets are not the front workers necessarily, but the ones just behind them so it'll splash and kill all the workers behind it. Same applies for taking out any other target. Targetting is super important. I liken reaver-shuttle micro to fencing or sword-play in Princess Bride.

I was getting set up to stream last year, but then injury and I couldn't quite get it to work without feeling a bit of lag or latency. But honestly I'm pretty rubbish. I can explain things on a forum, but I wouldn't be very interesting to watch. @Firebolt Ah. I don't play Dota.
