I will see if I can get a reduced rate if we have enough attendees! + Show Spoiler [History] +We're going to be having another LAN on Saturday, June 5! The LAN Center has Starcraft II and we likely will have a Starcraft II tournament. To people without beta keys, you can get a chance to play Starcraft II off other people's keys (I have a few I can let people use too). I think the LAN center may have improved its steam too so we can play some more casual FPS and stuff like that too if we want. Hopefully we can get a discount deal and stay past midnight and possibly reserve the entire place as an official "event" for Eudemonia, but we'll have to see how many people we can get to come. Hope you can all come and have some fun now that school is out (For the UCs at least!). Some people may have left already for summer vacation, so I'm thinking about holding another LAN a bit before school starts. If we get a smaller turnout we will probably be more UMS / fun heavy than tournament heavy. We will have the dinner as well, which should be fun as always, and we can decide where we should go. Overall this will be a fun relaxed event and I hope everyone can come. A lot of people just graduated and this may be their last Berkeley LAN, so make this one the best! Berkeley represent!  Hope everyone can make it!

The first phase of beta is apparently ending on May 31st. I think I'll change date to memorial day weekend but the LAN center said that might not be the best day, probably since some of you guys will be leaving for the holiday. What do you guys think?. Alternatively, we can just wait until June to have this or just have a BW LAN

Ya, it's annoying that we can't use USBs. But seriously I wanted to have a little SC2 action too, since I asked and they have SC2 on their computers. That would increase the turnout a lot too. I was hoping this could become a semi-big event so that we can become an official event and when we go out to dinner we won't have to switch computers when we get back. Well, I guess we could get a few people even if it's just BW!

I want to come especially since starcraft 2 will be there. But i think i work that day. Doesn't seem like many people are responding to this though. Probably because of school.

Well, the problem is that SC2 will not be there; the first phase of the beta ends on June 1, so unless Blizzard restarts beta within four days, SC2 likely will be down. Which is unfortunate due to the timing, so maybe having an August LAN instead may be a better alternative.

T_T Dang. Well, I'm planning to have another one in August sometime, so hopefully that will be a good time for people too We'll be losing a lot of people as they graduate but we should still probably be able to pull a good turnout in August.

Haha I think they might be good, I'm hoping this new patch will help things a bit. It will be sucky that we can't download R1CH's UDP Blocker to help a bit too but oh well How was the south bay LAN with all those server problems? From what I've heard seems like it still was pretty fun?

uhh i got to meet some people, but i didnt get in a game of sc2 and i got roflstomped in the bw
tourny so yah it was a little disapointing

I'll try to bring video camera again and maybe if I have time I'll get some highlights from some games and make a small highlight video of the event Everyone try to get the word out! I just posted it on a lot of forums (got banned from Blizz forums for advertising... lol T_T) so hopefully word gets out!

Haha ya, had tons of fun everyone Really nice to see everyone again and meet new people, and our DotA/CS/SC2 was pretty awesome! So I think I might be doing another one in August or Early September, so be on the watch for that. Btw, if you guys wanna play online or anything just text my phone or something and I'm down to play stuff

I really enjoyed this LAN, Eudemonia is the spot. You guys were great, I arrived over an hour late and everyone was still cool. That Colossus killing about 50 of our troops was funny.
I can't wait to go to more of these. I might even go back this month again and play some of their other games available. Oh yeah, the sc2 DotA prank was also hilarious.

Ya I won't do one before Aug 14th because I dont get back until about the 13th or something. Maybe we should do Aug 21st, which would be (almost) the one year anniversary of the first LAN! We'll see though, and we also need to figure out if we'd like to have a big LAN, which I could organize to get prizes for, or have another small one

Yeah I liked it a lot, it is tons of fun.
I actually prefer just casual 1v1 dueling style than elimination/prizes, but that's just me and I always come bit late hehehe...
That's why I always liked BATLL instead of Lan beforeTime cuz everyone get eliminated just leave early in Lb4T and that's not very attractive...

Ya that is really true. I feel like when SC2 comes out though there might be a lot more people who will come to play, but we can still keep the light and fun theme. Occasionally we maybe could do a big tournament, since I think there will be a lot of new players once SC2 is out. I wonder if Eudemonia would be able to support such a LAN though, or if we'd have to find somewhere else.

How much cheaper is it? I remember I checked the rates before and the individual fees were more expensive, but maybe they give group discounts and stuff? Or are you talking about renting the whole place... Hmm I'm not sure if the next one should be a big LAN or small still.
