and normaly ppl who play huskar are dicks 70% of times..
I always hardcounter huskar firstpicks with heroes like necro because of my deep hatred of huskars in pubs f*** em! :p
Same thing with Lion or Lina, anything that has enough burst can pretty much one shot him in early / mid game.

Such a retard tendency IMO. It's like everyone basically thinks: "Hey, now my opponent knows when I'm playing a hero there's 90% chance I have no idea how to play, let's do that all the time, feeding is so much more fun" ...
It's really a stupid behaviour. I used to play All-Pick and Captain mode, but I'm seriously considering dropping all-pick games to play captain mode only, even if it takes longer to find a game.
The whole idea of bonus gold for randoming is stupid to begin with which is the cause of the whole issue. It just gives people a way to ruin pubs (either by getting bad randoms and sucking, or getting really lucky randoms like a strong solo).
My QQ story is a really frustrating win actually.
We had Lone Druid, Sand King (me), Shadow Shaman, and then our last 2 pick Drow and Sniper.
Whatever, it's a low level pub it'll work. Sniper proceeds to auto-attack the lane (I'm with him) yet somehow we still come out with even/winning the lane. Then I discover not only has the drow mid died 2-3 times, but she doesn't have a single level of silence OR frost arrow despite being 9 or 10. Ok yeah you can skimp on the disables as drow and pump your damage and what not, but really not a SINGLE level of either?
Ok whatever, we can deal with it lone druid is doing well and I have enough farm to initiate and stay alive. Well their team has a Brood Mother who buys an eye. We finally manage to wrestle the eye from her, but it's quite early so we don't really need it yet. I put it in the fountain and say QUITE EXPLICITLY several times to leave it there for when druid becomes a tanky beast.
What happens? Drow immediately picks it up, then dies because she has 0 survivability items and still 0 points in silence/frost arrow (and even beyond in teamfights that being a problem she also would run around on her on).
Eventually we get it back* and win by pushing with shaman + me + farmed druid with aegis but damn that drow made it hard on us.
*I ended up hiding it in the woods near our fountain so drow wouldn't pick it up again, but it'd be there if I wanted it later.

When my team is bad and the game is considered over, i'd rather just have my team and myself keep dieing so the game ends faster.

@ Logo: I've personally noticed that Draw Ranger is THE ultimate character people will do shit with. All noobs think it's gonna be easy to play her considering she's range and got decent control (slow + silence) and honestly 80% of the Draws I've seen were total shit with that character. It's like they consider they don't even need to pay attention since they play a range carry ... too many LoL players ... again

The hero is called Drow Ranger not Draw ranger. We are not Drawing.

Aughghghghghhghghgghgh. A pub Silencer goes mid, starts complaining that he is losing badly to QoP. I look to the lane and what do I see? Maxing CotS and stats, and no last word or orb. WTF!!!!!!!!!

after 10 minutes of soul searching, I decided the only way to win the game was to get a rapier. >.>
|
MM SD, I picked CM. After that a Weaver and CW pick. Now the heroes of the game pick Riki and Jugger.
Great. 30 Minutes in the game we dominate (god knows how). After that Riki and Jugger just start flaming each other and throw the game like total retards. Dying while writing, only farming the whole game.
I can't believe we lost a game in lategame with 3 carrys...

This game is getting more idiotic to play by the hour... my biggest gripes:
a) It seems that Dota 2 likes to punish you for playing with friends. If you premake and there is more or less a skill "gap" between members of the group, you are going to get screwed by matchmaking no matter what. It'll put you against 5 tryhards or enemies way out of the group's league.
b)I think MMR boost for premades is FUBAR. Played 2 games the other day: in the first one, me and some buddies played as a group of 5 (three of us were more or less decent, two were quite worse) and matchmaking gave us a 27-4 kill score loss. Balanced, if you ask me. On the other hand, the next game there was just me and a friend, got matched against an obvious premade of 5 (matching icons/names and such) and stomped them so hard I felt ashamed. I think it was pretty much the same score as before, only in our favor this time.
c) Hero imbalance: not strictly speaking about hero power level (there is that too), but some heroes are so stupidly easy and forgiving (Examples: Leoric, Sven, Axe, Lycan, Balanar, Anti-Mage...) or plain straight overpowered (Lycan again, Invoker, Furion, etc...) that, in non-competitive matches, they just win because, even though their players make as many mistakes as anyone else, theirs are just not punished equally. As a mainly support player, nothing infuriates me more than watch how an idiotic hero which a chimpanzee could play just as well, kills me with two clicks at any point in the game. It's just so frustrating, having to outplay them threefold if you want any chance to win the game.
d) Retarded teammates: I won't say that I am pro or something, as I often don't play my best (sucks to tilt easily ), but the amount of pure vegetative brains encountered baffles my mind. I have as many anecdotes of this as anyone else, just going to leave one: a base trade scenario (the two teams trying to be the first to take down the other team's Ancient), which we would have won, except our imbecile Riki thinks it's a good idea to hit bottom barracks instead (as we were all attacking and pinging the Ancient like madmen).
To sum it up, I don't know whether this game will remain installed on my PC for much longer, even though I love it. It's so sad :/.

Enemy team lineup:
Faceless void, Ench, Dazzle, QOP, Weaver
Our lineup:
Lycan (me), Invoker (friend), AM, VS, and Naix
So much bullshit happened this game. The guy who's playing Naix picks last and decides to pick Naix despite the fact that we already have 2 carries, one of which is a jungler and hence we need 2 solos. We were scourge and VS decides to FUCKING SOLO TOP leaving Naix + AM bottom ON THE DANGEROUS LANE, just wtf? All 3 pubbies on our team proceed to feed like crazy, resulting in 2 towers lost and fed void + weaver before 10 minutes have even passed.
I'm not so frustrated at the loss (you will inevitably lose games because of your teammates sucking, because Dota is a team game) but I'm just completely at a loss to explain how the 3 on our team could have been so stupid to form a lane combination like that. Seriously, I don't ever say this but PLEASE UNINSTALL DOTA.

I honestly would not care if brazil was hit by some natural disaster that would destroy their entire population. I would feel nothing

Before the picks even begin, 1 person begins flinging abuse at another 2 and vice versa. Turns out last game they had been on the same team, the 1 claimed the 2 were feeders, the 2 said the 1 began to troll and feed afterwards.
the 2: Chen who gets one point in creep, then maxes test and pentience. Lion who leaves lane to gank, then fails those ganks completely (meanwhile NS had to cover his lane to have it not get pushed) the 1: qop who decides its a good idea to jump into the middle of lina+leoric+puck alone.
That game went... less than well

I was always curious what does tryhard mean actually? Because first I thought it means someone who tries his best to win, which in my opinion is always a commendable thing. But every time I see this word, it seems like its used in a negative meaning. So please explain it to me what do you mean by it, or why is trying hard a bad thing?

Its just a way for people to tell themselves that the people who beat them won because they have no life and spend all day and night playing this game. The truth is that "tryhard" is just a very silly insult, its just a label that losers put on the winners to help them feel better about getting owned.
|
Played brewmaster mid , teammates pick void + antimage , veno going " carry" , i own mid , gank top and bot , get beyond godlike then i see am and void got 35 min bfury only ...Then we proceed to lose game.
|
The term "tryhard" is used by somepeople as a insult. meaning instead of just having fun they try their hardest to win buying wards going for smoke ganks etc, etc. I find the term being very wierd because you should try your hardest to win the match/game, because that is what the goal is, to kill the opponents base before he kills yours.
And to not go completly off topic. My QQ story begins with me solo queing Random draft as I always do, then finally after about a 10 min wait I get a game. My team picks Storm spirit, bloodseeker, Sand king, venomancer and me Shadow demon, so far so good. Opponents are Tidehunter, faceless void, Natures prophet, Lion and Dazzle.
When the game starts the team chat gets filled with russian turns out SK,veno and Blood are all 3 russians. But unlike what most ppl seem to think these 3 russians were actually good. SK goes 10/0/6 (in the first 15 min), Veno also gets good stats (Sk and veno laned togheter seemd to be friends) and bloodseeker wins mid lane. So thanks to their lanes going good we get both mid raxes and bot raxes by around 25 min, So I think great this game is as good as won.
I couldn't have been more wrong, because what the 3 russians do next is sell all their items and all 3 of them gets a Divine rapier. They then decide to get overly confident and procede to get killed thanks to mid T4 towers and not going in as a team but going in 1 by 1. So at 1 point natures prophet gets a hold of 2 of the 3 rapiers and ofc the next fight we lose big time thanks to SK,veno and blood having sold all their items. we actually manages to kill natures phrophet eventually but then faceless picks up the rapiers instead and with him already having a battlefury he completly rapes us in the next fight and then thats GG.
TLDR: won game with 25 min mid and bot raxes down, gets lost because of russians getting divine rapiers and giving them to opponents carries.

I guess people use the word with several different meanings. My meaning wasn't directed at those who gank, push, etc... but to people, normally decent/good at the game, which abuse the most broken picks/strats in AP mode (never would go through in CM due to bans and such) and/or wait (the full team) as long as it takes to counterpick people who maybe just randomed or not picked the very best heroes.
For example, one game I was playing with two or three friends. We get to hero selection, and they insta pick the following lineup (talking about 1.5-2 months ago): Invoker, Anti-Mage, Tidehunter, Prophet, Shadow Shaman, then proceed to talk shit about how much they owned you (took their 55 mins to win but npnp). I feel it as being quite the cheese, and disgusting, especially in AP.
In this case, the word would mean "trying too hard as if it was a tournament game and being dicks about it" in an All Pick matchmaking game.
