Lane setup doesn't matter, noobs are going to get dominated either way.
What also works is to pick a carry with good base damage and attack animation and just lasthit better than whoever wants to steal your farm. Spectre and Faceless Void with a Quelling Blade work pretty well for that, unless your lane partner begins to use his nukes to farm you should have no problem. Alternatively you could gamble that your enemies in lane are noobs and pick someone like Viper or Huskar to farm them.

Yep, jugg and huskar are pretty much my only successful carries cuz they have a lot of early game power and can solo kill in pubs. doom also works cuz he can pretty much easily get farmed with devour.
spectre alchemist etc would never work cuz they need too much babysitting.
invis carries like bh and riki just aren't my style. but they're so popular cuz ppl just ks w em (like theyre sposed to) and carry.

Is it at all possible to play this game in PuGs? I mean why must there allways be some god damn moron who BM from the first mistake a player make. Do these tools think it helps that they BM? Because it doesn't it just fucks up the match. I don't fucking care if a player sucks or whatever, but all the BM crapheads want me to leap through the screen and show them what would happend if they behaved like this in person!

I find that most of the time if you call them out for acting like 12 year olds throwing tantrums and explain to them that their foot stomping does nothing but make everyone play worse the person will listen and stop. Probably works like 70% of the time.
The other 30% though...I will gladly jump through that screen with you bro.

le'sigh friends tell me to try playing carry when I always play support, they say it's whatever were just messing around we'll just have fun.
game ends in a stomp as I really don't play carry's at all and don't do it well due to inexperience
sometimes I wonder why I play with these people...

Me (POTM Carrying team on my back): "When death prophet uses her ult, run. Don't fight the ghosts. When Omni ults, don't fight, we can't hurt them."
Next "team fight", my team runs at DP ghosts like flies to a light. 4 dead teammates. Rinse, repeat 3x more times.
Buy wards on chicken as highest level on team. None of my feeder friends can be bothered to place them.
Lose game.
Team: "We just got outplayed."
/facepalm

The problem is that you're expecting people to support your carry in a low skilled pub game -_-. The key is to play safe and selfish...look out for yourself. Take every last hit and kill that you can. If you make it out of early game in a good position you can rape any low level pub game with a carry. I play agi carries the majority of the time for this reason. I usually dominate just by playing safe early game. Playing support in a pub is the waste of time and effort to me.

Playing panda. I do my best to seperate Tide from the fight the moment he enters by using Storm's cyclone to avoid a ravage. It works about 50% of the time, the other times I am too late and instead I cyclone the hardcarry while stunning and chasing the lowest hp target.
- Witch Doctor gets ambushed by Riki because he's too far away from the tower. Claims I should've split and stunned riki, despite the fact that I had need of the CD 50 seconds later during a teamfight, and there was a Tiny as well. The guy was dead, there was no need for me to use ult.
- Skeleton King is clueless, but that's alright. He's trying, at least. Lion however, makes mention of how everyone, and Skeleton King in particular, is a 'retard russian player', repeating these three words every five minutes or so. I could not be bothered to respond to it, but I filed a report the instant the game ended.
- Furthermore, my play wasn't optimal, and I made a few mistakes here and there, though I was mostly satisfied with how I handled teamfights and mostly forced them our way when they happened. We still lost, though, Tiny was overfed with Agh's and blink, Witch Doctor and Skeleton King having fed him in the early to mid game.
Losses don't have to be frustrating if they're played well. Losses can be minimally frustrating if they're played poorly. Losses are incredibly frustrating when you have a team that is calling each other names and claiming superiority over whatever you're doing.

played against an ursa on the opposing team... which ended the game 53-0-0. there was no way in hell we could touch him.

played flawless invoker in the mid then brood was noob that fed then qop quit cuz of brood then all went to hell -_-
can't wait for the game to be released so i could get my levels up and never play with such noobs...

My team: Batrider, Lone Druid, Necrolyte, Enchantress and Shadow Fiend(me).
Enemy team: Doesn't matter.
I won mid. I didn't get any kills, but I denied and farmed like crazy. Then the enemy team begins to force teamfights. And we lose every single one because Druid is in the jungle farming, or in some lane farming. OK, I can deal with that. The Batrider however, could not and just fed on purpose, declaring his intentions in allchat, then losing the rest of his mind and just flamed whatever. What did I do to deserve this? >_>

go to pub pick windrunner and get flammed for being tryhard while they have sylla ns and huskar wtf?

I love it when I am playing the carry and every single game I play, my support fights me for creeps. I tell them, I need the farm because I am the carry. They respond with, "I need money for my mana boots bro." Fuck. They are even spamming spells on the creeps to take the kill. This isn't exclusive to pubs either. This is even with queuing with people from the TL channel. I mean come on....

Matchmaking works, you're getting matched with players of roughly equal level. If you lost, your invoker wasn't flawless.

If you lost, your invoker wasn't flawless. You absolutely do not always get matched with people of your skill level. More often than not, there are large skill gaps between several players in each game.
