why does it seem ppl make more sensible picks in unranked of all places, rather than ranked where it matters more... I regularly see 3 core - 2 support lineups in unranked games.... but not in ranked..
You'd think ppl would care more in ranked games..
and why do I have something like a 70-80% unranked win rate lately.... and at best 50% in ranked....
Today i play 3 unranked games to warm up as jakiro, pa, and necro and win them all.
I go into ranked and suddenly I get the following: game 1, 5 core team with a storm picker mid... nerfed hero pickers... it went about as well as u'd expect.
game 2, lineup is fine... unfortunately, LC and lion keep complaining about lag... which I think is the usual BS excuse. LC abandons later... but AFTER first blood. .... she also, while on highground, simply stared at me from the highground as i 1v1ed enemy slark at the initial bounty rune and did absolutely nothing. Fuckers... why the fuck do abandoners not get an additional MMR penalty when their team loses... they only get penalized if their team manages to win

actually studies show that the vast majority of people have no issues reading utterly garbled words as long as the first and last letters match the correct spelling and all the right amounts of each letter are there.
to the point where reading speed is barely impacted.

Because in ranked many people think that ONLY THEY can play the core and won't accept others in that position, rendering the 5 core team to utter crap.
Also unranked can be more relaxed and thus people do play supports even when it's solo and vs Brood and Bounty Hunter.

If you are a 3 stack in ranked then you should not pick 3 cores, especially ones as garbage tier as wraith king jungle. even when I play in a duo I make sure one of us supports. I don't have a problem with jungling a priori but it frustrates me that the same type of people who pick wk jungle in a stack are the same idiots who blame the rest of the team for not winning lanes 5v4.

This game sucks sometimes. Got to love when you start 13-1 on Slark but your teams so worthless that you just auto lose because killing all 5 of the enemy team is impossible during my bkb/ult durations xD
edit: just lost a 1200 GPM Alch game FML. This was partly my fault since I think I could have ended the game sooner myself, but I mean I wish a single person on my team did something as well

... Carries like my drow this game are part of the reason why I hate playing support.... The attitudes.
I'm playing solo support lich and tp in to try to save drow from an SB gank. I succeed.... and then drow complains that I ksed her and claims that she'd have killed him alone..... right.... suuuuuuure..
She did play reasonably well... and didn't scream for wards like blind carries so often do when the map is actually warded at least, but she was otherwise an all-around ass and claimed the only way for her team to ever win is if she picks carry.
we won the game... but i don't feel so well that drow got a win.

Like its 1v1 no other support came to gank you, you just straight up died 1v1 dont bitch. Accept that you lost!
I mean how does a puck even die to a lvl 2 qop. By just being fucking bad!

1st game: A fucking Abaddon farming woods and going carry build, Gyro who cries at min 0 and badly positioned EVERY FIGHT and goes 1-9 after 20 mins. And a ROAMING Mirana who is 1-10 after 20 mins.
2nd game: Ember abandons after 2 deaths (8 min-ish). The opponents so fucking bad we actually holding the game for 40 mins.
3rd game: An Alch who feeds Invoker 0-6 after 8 mins.
4th game: We have an afker at pick stage so he randoms Meepo and goes jungle. Our Weaver feeds 0-5 in 12 mins and keeps doing absolutely nothing. 3 of us are playing well, but opponents are too fed.
5th game: ANOTHER AFKER IN PICKING STAGE
WTF IS THIS SHIT? HOW IS THIS FAIR CAN SOMEONE TELL ME?!?!?!

Lost to an offlane bara, slark mid, jungle sven, omni slardar safelane line up. On my defense, our solomid managed to get 31 cs in 32 minutes and it turns out that sven is better than LC at going AFK in woods. www.dotabuff.com

My Alch had 6k hero dmg and 219 tower dmg in a 44 minute game!!! And to top it all off I asked for safelane carry and had my hero highlighted as soon as the draft started, and everyone was fine with that. But then this kid just 4th picks Slardar because he "doesn't want to solo support". Nice stuff dude, just pawn off the role you asked for to someone else because you don't want it anymore. That's the spirit (btw I'm fine supporting, and even solo supporting. It's just frustrating when he randomly steals the lane from me).
And obviously he goes 3-12. Standard NA Doto
edit: oh yea, Slardar's name was "-450 MMR, Tilted". I wonder why!

Drow ranger on my team opens with a ring of protection vs a BH + Techies + Necro + Invoker lineup (BH and Techies Roaming obviously) then proceeds to get slaughtered on CS while the rest of my lanes also feed and do nothing and never makes any attempt to buy anything like sentries so I'm stuck as disruptor trying to dust and sentry and mineclear on a team without any sort of presence or brains.
Drow ends up with 11 minute brown boots + Basilius.
I feel like I just need to ban Necro, pubs are so bad at laning vs him, though in this case I cut Drow a little slack initially as playing vs techies + Necro + BH isn't exactly easy when you're just sitting with a duo safe lane because your offlane duo is dicking around.
EDIT: There also needs to be a special low priority hell for people who don't understand or respect greyed in heroes & minimap markings then pick horribly and demand a lane.

I don't see how this give you any priority, I never argue with those guys (rarely playing mid or carry) but they often argue against each other, you included I guess. Rushing the minimap click does not give you any right, and people rarely rush the pick so either you pick before them, ask gently or just adapt to their picks. Having a grey hero on the minimap does not give you a sort of authority to decide what they want to play. Actually picking your hero is different.

Gyro builds Travels - Aghs as first items and then wonders why he's not doing well. (I reiterate my position that retarded builds in ranked are grounds for intentional feed reports due to intentional choice of items detrimental to team)
Winter Wyvern refuses to ward and doesn't seem to know his ult makes enemies invincible to our team...
Ursa more or less plays well.... but loves to 'gg' at any setback at all...
Ember does not know to leave remnants to escape to...
