I really have NOTHING against playing with people who are worse than me/bad at the game, as long as they listen and don't try to do something they randomly came up with on the fly, but that simply wasn't the case. you dont understand it at all, do you? afterwards...and a guy who isnt experienced in picking only gets confused by 4 people thjrowing hero names at them.....instead of explaing what the team needs and why...anyway...like firebolt said you take these games so serious that its kinda ridiculous...you are not fitting this teaching enviroment, so have fun playing your "very high " MMR... Yeah I don't enjoy spending 2 hours on getting absolutely stomped in poor quality games because people simply won't listen to what I tell them. I don't care about winning/losing as long as the games are somewhat even, which they weren't. I'm sure a lot of people share my view on this. This is really simple stuff, if you don't know how drafting works, don't take the blue/pink slot and watch someone else draft until you feel comfortable with doing it yourself. The only reason I acted like I did was because people started arguing with me when I simply told them what to do, how in the fuck am I supposed to teach someone if they tell me to "shut the fuck up" when I point something out? funny thing is, we mixed up the the people, i think i played with almost all of them...and it was always your team ending up losing, how can the games be that imbalanced when i played in game 2 with guys from the other team game 1....etc etc Pathetic how much you try to provoke me with these kinds of posts. No, we hardly mixed the teams at all. We swapped 1 player on each team and 4 new people joined. First game wasn't as bad, but we lost because you had an AM and people just wouldn't push when I told them to. Second game we lost during the drafting phase. Also I just went to check, out of everyone I played with last night, 1 guy had a >50% winrate, and he had like 60 games played in total, which was not the case for the people I played against. Either way, I don't care. I tried telling people what they were doing wrong, what they should be doing, etc. I got told to shut the fuck up and I got argued with. Not worth my time. I'm going to be blunt. As far as I remember, you were always the aggressor. The first tower push against the solo puck had the leshrac not push with you resulting in the first mistake of the game. You immediately raged at him pretty hard instead of explaining his mistake carefully. The rest of the game just followed along this aggressive path until no one really cooperated with each other anymore.

Well no, I checked. One player from each team swapped and 4 new players joined.

I asked him why he let me die when I said to push the tower, and as far as I can remember, shadow shaman also said to push. He went back to pull creeps and as a result, I died while we were pushing the tower. I asked him why he decided to go back and pull creeps even though we said to push, I don't really see how that's aggressive.
I'll happily be the first one to admit that it got worse as the game progressed and stuff like this kept happening, because I was starting to get annoyed at it after a while, especially when the first thing leshrac told me after asking him why he didn't push with us was "shut the fuck up"

And after that it went downhill.

Really don't know how you can still defend the situation here. If you fucked up, you admit it and go on, there's really not much to it. If you are going to feel defensive after you made the conscious decision to ignore your teammates then you are just as much at fault (even more so because you clearly do not care for the game that you playing with 9 others) as how Canas handled it.
If you guys are casual, why the fuck are you drafting? I never understood that about TL in-houses. We're gonna be casual but play the competitive captain's mode.
Also, I am using a general you, not you specifically. I just find it that both parties are fault but everyone is so focused on Canas' behavior.
Just my 2c.

I don't think the leshrac is completely out of blame, he did retaliate, it takes two to tango etc etc. But between the two of them, the leshrac is probably just going to play again later without kicking up a fuss, while Canas is here posting extremely aggressively accusing people of being rude and ignoring him when he was the one to fire the first shot.
What's wrong with casual cm mode? People get to learn how to do basic drafts and play like a proper team. I'm not saying casual = doing divine courage builds, I'm saying casual = hey mate, nice try drafting/ganking/supporting, but here's what you could have done better, while playing with a bunch of friends.

Well the point he's trying to make is, is that there's a difference between constructive criticism and basically saying "fuck you".
I can just speak from peronal experience... When people are like "look, you fucked up there, try to do this and that next time" I'm totally cool with it, even thankful most of the time. But somebody yelling at me without actually bringing up anything useful doesn't help anyone.

That's the thing though, it was constructive criticism most of the time. I tend to swear a decent amount, so I guess that's hardly going to be very helpful, but often times it'd be like "jesus christ rubick, if I say to push bot, don't fucking tp top to defend in a lane where we have megacreeps" or something like that

And I never actually said that the pick was "retarded" in game, I said something along the lines of "are you serious? you go silencer even when I give you plenty of suggestions for what to pick?".
Not worth my time. so not true, after that am game i played with 3 of the 4 people you played with and so on....we both played with the same players.and after the silencer game i again played with at least 2 people you had played with!and surprise surprise they listened...... mb it was just your tone afterall why people wouldnt listen... Well no, I checked. One player from each team swapped and 4 new players joined. I'll happily be the first one to admit that it got worse as the game progressed and stuff like this kept happening, because I was starting to get annoyed at it after a while, especially when the first thing leshrac told me after asking him why he didn't push with us was "shut the fuck up" There's a difference between 'hey leshrac, we were supposed to be pushing, you should be with us', and pinging a billion times and asking 'what the fuck leshrac what the fuck are you doing?' The rhasta calling him a fucking idiot didn't help either. What do you expect the leshrac to do, of course he'd feel defensive about the whole situation. And after that it went downhill.
I think the exact quote was "what the fuck leshrac? I told you to push and you go pull? are you serious?" Like, if I fucked up (which I did many times during that game, I'd even be quick to admit it a lot of the time, ie when we lost the teamfight at bot I immediately knew it was my fault because I got hit by EMP and couldn't stun or reality rift at all that fight), I kind of expect people to tell me to shape the fuck up to make sure I know I actually did something badly so it doesn't happen again. And like I said, I tend to swear a lot.

Nothing wrong with that, except you can't tell people to fuck off all the same. I mean the Lesh is at fault here, how Canas presented himself is fine. But if that Lesh actually cared, then he wouldn't have responded the way he did especially since this was instigated by his actions. Like I almost certain if the Lesh just fessed up to messing up despite how Canas presented himself then the game would have progressed more smoothly.
Basically what I am saying is that, where the hell do you guys get the notion that everyone has to present their arguments in a way that you like it? Get over yourselves.

If either one had approached it differently, game would have continued nicely.
For the record, I'm not telling Canas to get the fuck out, that's purely his choice. I honestly think that if he just cools down and approaches the TLIH differently then we might get better results.

I am saying that these TLIHs and the nature of DotA as a team game itself doesn't quite work out like that unless everyone is on the same level and I don't mean overall, I mean everyone on the same level. Like I mentioned before, people are quick to pull the "we're casual" card meaning everyone should be just chill about it, but then everyone drafts competitively in CM mode.
That in itself allows these kind of situations to happen, moderation present or not; both Canas and the Lesh are being disrespectful to the 8 others, but the Lesh is perpetuating the matter in this particular match. I doubt Canas (based on his posting here) would have continued.

is there an EU chatroom in the DotA client for this?
edit: ok I found the obvious one XD "teamliquid"

Who knows.
The purpose of the TLIH is quite clear, it is an open group for all skill levels. If you prefer games of equal skill level, feel free to go to matchmaking, no hard feelings.
Drafting competitively doesn't automatically mean playing super competitively. There's no rule we have to go CM either, if people want to go AP or AR or whatever they are free to.
Anyway, I don't give too much of a damn about this whole situation, I'm happy to play with Canas and co again.

well usually we're all just at 'teamliquid'

I'll be a captain next time and show you guys what TL CM Dota is all about.
I think CM is a great learning tool if you have a captain who 1) knows that he/she is doing, and 2) can explain their entire thought process. Even if not everything they say is correct, there are still 4 other players who can assist them. Synergized learning baby.
See you guys in a few hours.
