Played a game (unranked, AP) with a friend of mine who was still on the newer end of playing the game, he still didn't seem to have warding down. I figured unranked, no expectations, just stick to the basics.
Although at the start, the lanes were pretty awful. He took venge, I took Nyx with the intent of roaming a bit with him. Rest of our team was Alch, Void and Axe. Venge and I took safe thinking we'd tri with Void, but Axe and Void BOTH went offlane and Alch mid. We both told one of them to come top but instead both were pinging the other, presumably to get out of the hard lane. Worse yet we were up against a PA, Naix, Zeus, PL, and WR.
The offlane duo attempted to go aggro on their safelane, which resulted in Void getting wrecked. Alch chewed both Void and Venge for dying often and PA got fed steadily and at one point was 6 levels ahead of Void. Luckily mid-game we created enough space for Void. PL started becoming a problem though and at one point though we still had top/bottom T3s, we were down a T4 and after getting teamwiped, I was the only one with buyback, the other four were out 50+ seconds.
Seeing Naix and PL charging towards the T4, I bought back because it was my only option left.
Did I die? Yes...and I was out 90 seconds. Did I last long enough? Yes. I'd done enough damage to the two at our T4 and by the time I died, Alch had just hit enough gold to buyback and Axe had just respawned, holding them off. We persisted throgh rat dota, and by the 50 minute mark, Void was easily cleaning up shop, but PA was destroying everyone else. Worse off, despite getting megacreeps, PL would easily push them back.
However, we took the next Rosh while they were pushing back, and this allowed the breakthrough. We smoked to their high ground and Void two-hit a caught-out Zeus. Then I purposely baited both Naix and PA to pounce on me with less than half health before I hit 3rd ability.
Boom. Dead PA, nearly dead Naix. I dusted PL, whom I expected nearby. Alch cleaned up the rest.
GG. Dire victory after 61 minutes.
The best part was Alch apologising to everyone for being nasty earlier on. Given how he was the first 40 minutes I would have never seen it coming. Not to mention, it felt so good winning particularly when everything was going south the first 20 minutes of the game. Credit to all digging their heels in.
And oddly enough, Axe, Void and Alch were a three-stack, but given the way each of them acted/behaved, I would have never guessed it.

I just played with EE-samas smurf. He pretty much carried the game. Easiest +25 points of my life!

Just Played as PA, had a lion support me on lane, got 14 min BF, Phase boots and starting items. Helm and BkB by 20 mins Went on to go 23-2 and win the game Handily. All because of decent support!

THIS FUCKING GAME! WOOOOOW
We were getting pushed super hard and lost all towers. Then our Phoenix dcs and they refuse to pause. They get two raxes but we still defend and manage to get a lot of kills because they are throwing (obviously they thought they already won). We're down to ONE MELEE RAX LEFT and we still keep on defending. We keep pushing out all lanes constantly, getting pick offs and eventually WIN! They even trashed talked us when they thought they were winning (which they should have). Feels so fucking GREAT!

I just had the best dota2 experience since I started playing this game. We had 3 possible mid players, noone fought for mid lane. Everybody spoke english and communicated actively. We had two supports (me included) and we went for an offensive trilane. An offensive trilane. In a pub. AP.
After getting two quick kills on the dual lane we were facing (Slark/Lion), Leshrac and I went roaming around the map. I got the wards, he got the smoke. He got smoke. In a pub. 3k MMR.
Thank you for this. Especially to Magi, the smurf account that has won all of his calibration matches and will probably be ranked 5k or something.

I will guess 4.2k. That is a bit below what my WD account calibrated at and it had higher win rate than that account does.
For me the good times is plentiful as techies. Any time I manage to suicide kill somebody that thought they were ganking I have a smile on my face.  I think I'll calibrate at 4.5k, probably around 70% win rate, steadily dropping from 92% high as games get higher rated.

We agreed on a deathball push strat, everyone picked, laned, build correct items and played it accordingly.
Result was 17:30 Mega creeps.
I still could cry tears. Public on 5,3~ mmr can sometimes be super good!

Getting thanked for carrying and returning the favour by thanking for the farming space after a 40 minute game on PL where I finished 12-1-5 because of all the room they gave me to get all my items up. What a thoroughly pleasant game with a nice team.
I mean they even understood that when the enemy pushed around the 25-30 minute mark the smartest thing to do was defend as 4 as best they could whilst I tried to push a lane in turn. Most teams just scream for you to come back and help fight.

My team was pa (me), storm, axe, pudge and techies. Other tea had huskar, riki, lina, necro, and ta. My team did terrible in lanes. Got raxed quickly and our t4s fell. We were able to wipe the in front of our exposed throne. We keep defending and wiping over and over again, and i really start to get farm. Farmed out an abyssal and bkb. We are doing well and are almost ready to push. By this time techies has already saved us twice from losing by blowing up his mines he set up around the throne. We are doing well and finally they kill me (im 200 off buyback after finishing bkb) and we lose. Even in that crushing end, still was a great game.

Game starts, I insta pick techies. They pick a NP and have no lane for him. I go boots and clarities. Only radiant camp not blocked is the one near their tower. NP kills it once while I get level 3 on lane due to a suicide kill. I then stand on high ground above the camp and auto attack NP. When he walks away I mine a bit out from camp where treants will walk in. Kill both in next spawn. Level 1 NP abandons the game. Most fun start to a game in ages.

Does this only apply to teammates? Cuz I had a lot of respect for an opponent once...
My team was winning, and I had no deaths and was basically responsible for most kills as well as holding down the fort for defense(Ember spirit triple bf, opponent drow was fat while my own carry alch was struggling to get farm but was catchin up quite fast). We were able to take down a set of raxes, then alch started trashtalking the opponent. Karma followed quite fast, and me, alch and another core dc'ed due to connection problems. I thought we would lose, cuz i was dc for quite a long time. I was able to reconnect, and, lo and behold, it was paused! The opponent rubick paused the game for us, then unpaused when i reconnected. I felt bad at myself afterwards cuz I flamed my opponents, calling them noobs, cuz I just really got pissed when the shit talks started. If the rubick is reading this, I just want to say, sorry and thank you!

Well I had a game once as PL where I was recalled by ally kotl against 4 heroes with only us two holding the fort. He then flamed me and then told the team that if we lose it is all my fault. You can imagine my reaction after reading his team chat.

Only tinker can be as much troll as that, makes me so happy.

Nice. I saw that a dude named Techies actually played 100% just techies and is one of the best. Good luck.

Played ranked CM solo. Some dude grabs captain immediately, picks without paying any attention at all to requests. He does at least pick mostly pretty easy heroes, and I volunteer for Sven.
Then he last picks Wisp and I get scared.
As soon as the game starts, he comes on mic and is says, "okay, here's how it's gonna be..." Calls plays all game long, tells me when he's gonna relocate me so I don't break tether, calls targets and stun orders during team fights. Almost all of his advice is good; there was only one time where he made an obviously wrong call. I didn't have to think all game long, just farm and collect hero kills.
