SC2 map editor on Mac not working

So i have searched and the only thing i have found was from about 2010 or 11. Anyways whenever I click on the SC2 editor it never opens it always says that the Application is not responding. Anyone know why? My mac is new. Sc2 is up to date as well

Try this:

Quit SCII if it's running.
In the Finder, Navigate to ~/Library/Application Support/Blizzard/StarCraft II
Delete the Variables.txt file or move it to a different location.
Launch the Editor from the Battle.net Application.
