[D] Mouse/keyboard commands fail to register

I just started trying to learn marine splitting (the marine split challenge map) and I noticed that sometimes when I select a group of marines or give them a move command, one or more of those commands just don't have any effect. Sometimes in the beginning of an attempt I'll select the marines, stim, and move, and they'll just not stim or just stand there or both.

This reminds me of the time when I was looking up the best way to EMP and snipe fast with my ghosts, and I found that the best option seems to be just holding down the hotkey and left clicking where you wanna cast it, but I also heard that if you do this and click too fast (like, say, if you wanna snipe a templar so you double click snipe really fast on it) you might end up untargeting your ghosts instead. Not wanting to deal with that at the moment, I never tried to learn this method, so I haven't tested it myself, but it seems like this issue is related to the marine splitting issue.

What's causing this? Is there some mouse setting that will fix this, and if so is there a respective keyboard setting considering the stim command sometimes didn't register? Do I need a mouse and keyboard specialized to deal with such fast commands, and if so which specification should I look for? Or is it a fundamental limitation of the game that everyone has to deal with, and if so how do the pros do it?

When I do a quick sequence of actions (say stim army, split army, attack with vikings) while I get a network spikes, half or more of the actions aren't taken in account. Try to play the map offline (you can find marine split challenge under custom games on EU, rightclick play offline). If you don't have this issue then, you're probably suffering from the shitty network spikes that some people get on battle.net services. If it persists it may be a problem related to your hardware, so you should give more details about it, and you should maybe have posted into tech support too

They're not related most likely. The second problem you describe is simply because of limits on keyboard repeat rate.
You're probably just holding down a mouse click at the same time as you press stim or something like that.

I still had the issue when I played offline. My keyboard is logitech G11 and my mouse is logitech G700.

Are you talking about the stim issue or the ghost issue here? Because I don't see why the keyboard refresh rate would be involved if we're talking about a single command (stim). However, this got me thinking: maybe the ghost issue is due to the keyboard repeat delay? You press and hold the hotkey and right away click to cast twice, but the second time the keyboard hasn't started repeating the command because of the delay so you end up just targeting the templar.

You're saying I can't do stuff on my mouse and keyboard at the same time? I haven't observed or heard of that anywhere else, and I can't replicate it even if I try.
