I had a g9x but ended up swapping it for a spawn due to the mouse making a high pitched noise. It turns out the spawn makes the same noise, Apparently all mice make that sound nowadays.
I have this High pitched noise as well, and it is caused by the interference of cpu. When you move the mouse the cpu does work, creates interference in your sound output. Or at least that's the explanation I read that seemed viable. I do use headphones though, so if you don't use headphones and you still hear the noise, ignore this.

I've even used MarkC's mouse fix for a long time to remove OS side acceleration. Sorry to kind of piggyback on your thread, but anyone got a recommendation for a really good FPS alternative?

That's not to saythe OP doesn't prefer right-handed style though.

Damn man you gotta differentiate between the two even if you like the 3200
The naos 3200 is a high sens full palm designed mouse with no kinds of remotely fast tracking speeds so it's not even suitable for med sens, unless they lied about the max tracking speed stat on their own website in a bad way, and i don't think they'd do that.
The spawn is a small mouse designed for claw (and to some extent fingertip) without you going anywhere near the mouse with full palm, they are MUCH lower lengh, much lower weight, designed for a completely different grip style and sensitivity range

They are still available everywhere cause they just discontinued them a short time ago. If you go to the Logitech site, you will no longer see it in the product list of their mice. Plus there has been a post on the Logitech forums stating that it has indeed been discontinued.

Using the spawn here, it is better for me in almost every way than the G9x.
CM Storm Spawn if you've got the most up to date firmware doesn't have any issues and will have an amazing sensor.
My brother bought a sensei, I let him try the spawn as well and he ended up replacing his sensei with it.
Next mouse I'm going to buy is a Zowie.
I play a lot of FPS, NS2 requires tons of tracking, CS GO recquired great precision.

I use a g9x without a grip, what would you people recommend as possible replacements when it eventually breaks down?

Luckily bought 3 g9x's when they were like $30 each on amazon. Keeping the 2 in boxes still factory sealed for when my current g9x breaks down. After some right and left clicker replacements I think I'm going to have this 1st one for at least another 2 years.
edit: I have tried the g100 for 2 weeks, couldn't get use to it....Hopefully in like 10 years when all 3 of my g9x's break down completely there will be a better mouse that fits my flavor profile;

Tried to get my mouse replaced after some shit happened to it (TvP and sensor issues) and couldnt get it replaced for a new one and they tried to give me the RazerNaga esque monstrosity so i cba'ed.
G9x without a grip is so good. I also have the razer starcraft thing and it has replaced it in many ways.. How is the zowie mico for a replacement?

Regarding the MiCO: basically same dimensions(same width, height, just a bit shorter), but the shape is quite different. The G9x is like this |_\ while the MiCO is more like this \_/ , so the grip will be tighter. You cant really discribe the difference, you will have to try it for yourself.

this thread helps a lot i had similar problems

Your best bet is to purchase a G9x while they're still available on sites, such as Amazon or eBay, and keep those as backups. I've been using a G9x for almost 2 years now, and there's really no other mice like it on the market. I've since moved to a DA2013, though. Much superior sensor, but the grip is entirely different than a G9x.

can anyone remind me of default sensitivity values per levels

People on logitech must be retarded, because last time I checked it was the second most popular mouse among sc2 progamers... Yep, they are. Used my MX510 for so many years and I was happy with it. Eventually it fell apart and I wanted to get a new one(or an MX518), but both mice were discontinued and no longer available :<

All things considered, if they've discontinued the mouse, it can't be because of lack of popularity. All we can do is assume they're going to be replacing it with a great successor (with hopefully less sensor issues).
