If only logitech would get out something like G900 , its weird that they dont have something in the new generation to follow after g9x Do you use the g9x with or without the shell? If so, then I don't see a clear option either. Most mice are a lot bigger. I'm using zowie MiCO now because it has a perfect shape for me much like the g9x, but the sensor is pretty bad.

Oh, and for a replacement I'd probably go for a zowie mico.

Precision is much more important for FPS, than it is for RTS. Imagine a macro focused Zerg player who hardly does any micro and compare him to CS guy who tries to headshot across half the map. That’s why the G9x and its variable acceleration is terrible for SC 2, but even more terrible for FPS.

I did that on my G3 and still have 1 model left that works. After the logitech mini optical only the G3 was good enought for me, and since i noticed companies tend to do worse items as remakes and if you want same quality you have to pay more (its their way of dealing with inflation?), i tend to get some spares.

Next time if you really like your mice get at least 3 of them. I did that on my G3 and still have 1 model left that works. I'm pretty sure I won't personally need to worry about running out of stock considering I've had 1 g9 (not x) break in the past 6 or so years. And whats the purpose of that post lol?

The sensei is bigger and longerthan the g9x, the clics are pretty stiff too. I took a comparative picture : g9x, sensei and spawn. The abyssus is about the lenght of the sensei, but the shape is a bit better for claw grip in my opinion, the clics are flat and rather soft instead of the curved shape and stiffness of the sensei's, and the sensor is better.

The sensor isn't bad either IIRC, you just have to put it on 1800 dpi and then choose your actual sensitivity via the slider in the drivers. Tbh OP lacks a lot of info that we need (shell or no shell, type of games, etc..), and there's a reason why we have a centralized mouse thread, so you know what info to provide when answering questions. That way we can give better answers based on your preferences and needs.

Dunno about the G900s (likely name if they did make it) due to the G100s filling that low profile, ambidextrous fingertip/claw mouse area now. That being said, ebay. And about what I care , the laser feeling the closest to the g9x

Also I bet you can find a g9x if you look hard enough. http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Programmable-Laser-Gaming-Precision/dp/B001NTFATI/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1371242175&sr=8-2&keywords=g9x
