So, still no clue and thanks to the comments. But I dont see a clear option yet. And there are a lot of complaints on the coolermasters... If only logitech would get out something like G900 , its weird that they dont have something in the new generation to follow after g9x

Do you use the g9x with or without the shell?

If so, then I don't see a clear option either. Most mice are a lot bigger. I'm using zowie MiCO now because it has a perfect shape for me much like the g9x, but the sensor is pretty bad.

I think I read somewhere about Logitech stopping gaming peripheral production. Oh, and for a replacement I'd probably go for a zowie mico.

Indeed they are. It's a good thing that precision doesn't really matter for sc2 compared to many other things.

From that statement I deduce the korean progamers are not the only ones on crack, which kind of makes it pointless to continue this discussion :-) Have a nice day sir.

Precision is much more important for FPS, than it is for RTS. Imagine a macro focused Zerg player who hardly does any micro and compare him to CS guy who tries to headshot across half the map.

That’s why the G9x and its variable acceleration is terrible for SC 2, but even more terrible for FPS.

Next time if you really like your mice get at least 3 of them.
I did that on my G3 and still have 1 model left that works.
After the logitech mini optical only the G3 was good enought for me, and since i noticed companies tend to do worse items as remakes and if you want same quality you have to pay more (its their way of dealing with inflation?), i tend to get some spares.

I got like 5 G9X in a box at home and got about that much more in alienware g9x clones somewhere at my parents' house. I'm pretty sure I won't personally need to worry about running out of stock considering I've had 1 g9 (not x) break in the past 6 or so years.

OP you could give a try to the abyssus, I just tried one at a store and the shape is pretty good too, I'd probably go with that if I couldn't find a g9x or a spawn, plus it's pretty cheap. The sensor isn't bad either IIRC, you just have to put it on 1800 dpi and then choose your actual sensitivity via the slider in the drivers.
The sensei is bigger and longerthan the g9x, the clics are pretty stiff too.
I took a comparative picture : g9x, sensei and spawn. The abyssus is about the lenght of the sensei, but the shape is a bit better for claw grip in my opinion, the clics are flat and rather soft instead of the curved shape and stiffness of the sensei's, and the sensor is better.

They stopped making it?!? I just got one like 3 months ago or so! I love it, hopefully you can find one some how, or a mouse that is similar to it!

I found the spawn
But some ppl say its bad lol. How is the feeling of the click and smoother in comparison? I cant test it before ordering it tho

They stopped making it months ago, same with the spawn, though we do know for a fact that the Spawn will be re-released sometime in the near future. Dunno about the G900s (likely name if they did make it) due to the G100s filling that low profile, ambidextrous fingertip/claw mouse area now. That being said, ebay.

Tbh OP lacks a lot of info that we need (shell or no shell, type of games, etc..), and there's a reason why we have a centralized mouse thread, so you know what info to provide when answering questions. That way we can give better answers based on your preferences and needs.

The prefferences is the most like g9x with the little shell, and RTS Starcraft II 100%. And about what I care , the laser feeling the closest to the g9x

Just when I think I've found the best rts mouse out there, it is discontinued. People on logitech must be retarded, because last time I checked it was the second most popular mouse among sc2 progamers...

G9 > g9x for accuracy etc

Also I bet you can find a g9x if you look hard enough.

Wait... I've been using the G9/x since the original came out. I never knew about the acceleration problems... maybe I've just gotten used to it. I've even used MarkC's mouse fix for a long time to remove OS side acceleration. Sorry to kind of piggyback on your thread, but anyone got a recommendation for a really good FPS alternative?
