Hi,
Recently I wanted too stream LoL but when ever I stream my game lags, its like a low fps feeling but I dont see a difference in the fps when I stream and when I dont. I tried lowering game graphics and stream quality but it doesn't seem to lower the lag. I'm streaming with OBS.
PC:
Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 965 Processor 3.40 GHz
RAM: 6 GB
Graphics: GeForce 460 GTX
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
Stream options:
Quality balance: 8
Max Bitrate: 1200 - Buffer: 1200
Resolution: 1280x1024
FPS: 25
Internet speed:
Download: 56 Mbps
Upload: 3.72 Mbps
I don't think my PC/Internet is the problem tho my processor cooler may be broken. Could this be the problem or is it something else?
Any help would be appreciated!

Your internet is fine for streaming.
If your CPU cooler is broken you should definitely replace it ASAP.
Aside from that, try lowering graphics settings and set LoL and your encoder (xsplit or FMLE or whatever) to utilize different cores. LoL to one and encoder to 3.

Try changing the game from fullscreen to fullscreen (windowed) that fixed the lag for me.

Haha yea, thats something I really need to do. Ok thx, didn't try that out yet. Will check it out, but how do I assign the cores?

If I stream fullscreen then I get black screen on the stream so Im streaming borderless.

Get ProcessExplorer. It's like Task Manager but not complete shit (in fact it's really good).
Open it up, select the process, right click, and hit "Set Affinity".

You can always join obsproject irc channel on quakenet.org (there's a webchat link too on obsproject.com). Maybe someone there can figure it out the root of your problem.
Also the information provided is not enough, what obs version? what capture method do you use for LoL? software/game capture? what x264 cpu preset? is aero enabled or not? . Copy paste to pastebin.com an obs log too (preferably one made when you were playing lol)

Try limiting your LoL FPS to 30/60/120 and check CPU utilization, if you are not maxing out cores then you probably have pretty much expected performance. Screen/game capture messes things up a lot

Disabling aero and putting LoL, OBS on different cores seems to help. Thx alot !

See if you have pando media booster installed on your pc, it comes automatically with LoL and causes bandwidth problems for a lot of players. Just an idea.

Friend of mine has the same processor and before he got a capture card he could only stream and play at around 30 FPS or so.

Streaming is fine now but Im not getting in the list of non-featured streamers :o I applied and it got accepted

your computer is good enough but your internet is kinda terrible. You'll be able to stream low quality.
