use it for HOTS streaming as well as speedrunning various games on SRL hopefully. i5 3570k @ 3.4ghz Geforce GTX 660 Ti 16 gb of ram ![[image loading]](http://www.speedtest.net/result/2498406649.png) Values seem a little different taking them on my laptop. Usually it's 50 download and 20ish ping on the desktop so maybe I did something wrong. Same upload though | ||

Weaker than above, id say base on 1280x720@40-50fps - 1920x1080@20fps or something between them - use pixels as a baseline if you dont know resolutions well as its a pretty good estimation of CPU load (x*y*z, for example 1920*1080*20) Veryfast as always, and you should be able to go to 3k, 3.5k or even like 4k if you really want video bitrate, 128k audio with the right stream server. Game wont run as well though on a PhenII | ||

I have an i5 2400, 8gb ram, Windows 8 with a Radeon 6850. Download 25mbps, Upload 2.29mbps I've been adjusting settings but I'm currently at 6 quality, 1700 bitrate with AAC 128 on audio. Not really sure what to adjust since it's still hitching but showing no dropped frames. | ||

Your average FPS is questionably low though - 9 and 12 FPS minimums on the best performing options, 73/87 max and barely breaking 30 averages? Its too low, are you running the game maxed? (edit: Yes and im an idiot for somehow missing that in reading info - even so, its too low performance) You state you start recording at a later stage of the game, but there is no info about the game - are both players maxed with 30 broodlords spamming hundreds of infested terrans, etcetc? I dont have HOTS client, cant watch the replay. If so, you should see something like 30fps minimums with such a CPU - adding OBS/Xsplit does not account for losing two thirds of your framerate. You have a 2600k @4.3ghz, the results are unacceptably low and i have no idea why. You miss one key detail - FPS with the game running and nothing interfering with it - and id also appriciate some data at half resolution (960x540), you dont need four gamesource stats for aero on/off and optimization on/off - just throw the best performing option on (aero off, optimization on) and bench at 960x540 - do the same for screen region as well as OBS game and maybe window capture. Yeah, it's basically a late game 200 vs 200 TvZ marine/medivac/tank/viking vs broodlord/corruptor slugfest with some base trading and 300+ apm camera spam etc. I'm not too concerned about the min and max numbers since there are moments where an insane amount of action is going on and there are moments when the player scrolls over dead space. The numbers themselves aren't that important; it's the comparison between them that matters. It wouldn't be hard to go back and run a benchmark on the game without any interference from streaming programs, but that's not really the purpose of my testing. All that would really show is that you do, in fact, sacrifice some FPS when streaming. I wanted to provide numbers for anyone that was wondering if there was a measurable difference in performance between OBS and XSplit, not the general impact streaming has on FPS. And about testing with Aero enabled/disabled-- that was done in fairness to XSplit because their FAQ insists that you should try with and without Aero when using Game Source ( http://www.xsplit.com/forum/faq.php#f4r3 ). Now that I have what seems to be the best combination of settings for each capture method (for SC2, at least), I can probably knock out a 960x540 run much more quickly. | ||
