Hey TL
I currently have a dual-monitor set up on my laptop; its an extended display with a second monitor (laptop display = primary, external monitor = secondary)
I've always used the 2nd monitor to play videos while doing other things on the laptop screen. I just fullscreen a video on the secondary display, then alt tab to a different window. Doing this has always maintained the fullscreen on my secondary display
In the past week, however, I've come to realize I can no longer do that I thought it was an update on twitch or something, but for ANY video (own3d, youtube, etc), whenever I try to alt+tab to something else, the fullscreen is reverted back to normal size
Has anyone experienced this issue or know how to fix it?
If it helps, Im using Chrome on a Windows 7 OS If any other details are essential, please let me know
Thanks in advance!

I saw the same thing with a Flash Player update recently

I've started having the same problem recently, has anyone found a fix yet?
|
Yeah, since today it seems that streams have been doing shit on dual screen.
I have this same alt-tab problem, but I also have the fullscreen displaying on the wrong screen. I'm interested in any solution.

Second this. It's pretty annoying really.

If you guys are using google chrome you can go into chromes options and disable chrome's flash to fix this. I don't know about other browsers.

could you elaborate a bit on this? I'm dying for a solution, and this seems to be one, but I can't make heads or tails out of it

chrome://plugins/ and disable flash
|
yeah, but then you can't play anything that requires flash at all.
|
You disable 11.3 and use 11.2.

Are you guys watching with the sound muted in the flash player? I find that when it's muted it cannot maintain fullscreen for whatever reason.

And how do I downgrade to lower version of flash, cuz I couldnt figure it out. And as TMStarcraft mentioned, yea before it was just a problem when the stream was muted, but now all the time and not just on twitch / owned but youtube and shit.

I just registered in order to take part of this discussion. I have tried to downgrade to flash version 10.3 and 11.2 - none of them fixed the issue. This is really frustrating, does anybody have a clue how to fix this? It was frustrating enough that I coulden't have a muted stream open and tab away without having it rezise back to normal size, but this is unbareable.
EDIT: I have noticed, that beforehand, when I clicked fullscren on a video, or stream, in my task bar, it would show as the flash player icon. When I do it now, it's another of my browser (google chrome) opening, and when I alt tab away, it closes and I return to the one I already had open.

Ok after doing some more testing, I present to you; the solution:
1. Go to this site and download the version 10.3.183.20 and put the downloaded items within a folder on your dekstop.
2. Run both the flashplayer10_3r183_15_win.exe and install it, and afterwards run the flashplayer10_3r183_15_win_sa.exe file and install it (It's probably just one of these, but I installed both and it worked).
3. Open up chrome://plugins/ (copy-pasta) in your browser Hit "Details" to the far right, and a ton of stuff will drop down. You will see that you have multiple versions of flash installed. Hit "Deactivate" or "Disable" (My browser in not in english, so not sure) on the versions that is NOT the 10.3 one.
4. Open up any youtube video and make it fullscreen. If you can alt+tab away, without reseting it to normal size, you've done it correct.
No problem

Thanks for your efforts Thravia!
Solved my problem however there are some typos or dunno in your solution!
In the 10.3.183.20 there are files with _20 ending. And when you wrote Open up this link you meant chrome://plugins/
Anyway thanks , the only thing that keeps bugging me whenever I open a page with flash content theres a popup about my flashplayer is outdated.. but whatever atleast its working and hope Adobe will fix their shit! ^^

Aha, thanks for noticing, I'll edit my post. Yeah, I get notified about that too, don't know what to do about it.

What I did is just went into chrome plugins and disable the pepflashplayer.dll component of the flash plugin. Fixed it for me.
|
I did what Oldfool suggested, and it's sorted the issue
|
Yea that (Oldfool's method) seemed to work for me as well and seems like the easiest to do, thanks to Thravia too.

This appears to be a problem with a chrome update, it works perfectly fine on Opera for me, though I have several odd errors with flash video and chrome.
