is it advisable or not to run this game with vsync on? i did not notice any input delay for some reason with vsync on. either that or it is barely noticable

it LIMITS your fps to time with your monitor to reduce jitter. choose whatever you feel looks better. | ||

anyway, your primary concern is GPU temperature correct? First off, too much FPS will not do damage to components. If you're concerned about it "working harder than needed" load up a custom, build a 200 food army and monitor with this: http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html if the temperature is under 90 Celsius, you're golden. To limit FPS without Vsync, go to C:\Users\<User>\Documents\StarCraft II\Variables.txt and copy/paste this in: "frameratecap=60" | ||
