Maybe you were using the private browse thing? I forgot what was it called on Google Chrome, but what it does is it erase everything once you close it, many browsers has it.

Edit: it's called incognito window under chrome, it has a guy in coat icon next to the chrome icon when you're using that mode.

Nope, that's not it.

I'm still at a loss here. Just restarted my chrome and my cookie got all erased... again.

i've been having the same problem for a while now. haven't found out yet why it's happening, definitely not incognito mode.

Edit: that checkbox in Under The Hood sounded exactly like it, but it's actually not checked. my chrome version is 16.0.912.75 (OS X).

Edit 2: also tried explicitly adding an exception for mail.google.com in the cookie section to allow those, but it still got cleared when i closed the browser

I have the same problem and it drives me insane having to retype all my logins everyday, and every time I close my browser. I checked the auto-delete cookie option it is not on. It only happens on my windows 7 computer, not my mac osx.

have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling chrome? Or using firefox?

Maybe the folder it's putting that stuff in it has a limit? I don't know too much into this but IIRC you can do something like this with temp files, like limit it to 0 MB which in effect would make it so you can't save anything to that folder. Hence, not saving any cookies.

wrench->bookmark manager->click organize->export them, you can import them in the same menu after you reinstalled chrome

Well I reinstalled but have yet to be allowed to signin. Anytime I put my info in it just refreshes and does nothing or says I have an error. Also anytime I try to access anything to do with google it says the sites server has presented an expired certificate. Can anyone help?

To anyone having this error I just fixed it. Seems my windows time and date were incorrect. My date said it was 01/26/2084. I changed it to 2012 and it allowed the certificates to take affect and allowed me to not only log on to my google account but also allowed me to sync everything back up, therefor I didn't lose anything when I reinstalled. Hope this helps Kaisen.

It sounds like Chrome is trying to write to a file that it doesn't have permission to write to. I don't know how the Chrome settings files are set up but if you're in Windows 7 (or Vista I guess) and you're not the real administrator then try right clicking on a Chrome shortcut and saying "Run as Administrator". That won't give you real administrator rights either but it might help with a dumb problem like this.
