Edit: it's called incognito window under chrome, it has a guy in coat icon next to the chrome icon when you're using that mode. details here http://support.google.com/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=95464 | ||

I'm still at a loss here. Just restarted my chrome and my cookie got all erased... again. | ||

Edit: that checkbox in Under The Hood sounded exactly like it, but it's actually not checked. my chrome version is 16.0.912.75 (OS X). Edit 2: also tried explicitly adding an exception for mail.google.com in the cookie section to allow those, but it still got cleared when i closed the browser | ||
