Hey guys, don't know if anyone else has run into this issue. Only started for me today, never had an issue with GOM before (except for early SC2 days where a lot of people had problems).
So I'll open up GOM player (used to be able to watch HD no problem) but now after probably about 5 minutes or so it will just start lagging completely.
So obviously something changed - I upgraded my OS today so obviously some settings were tinkered with but I've gone through stuff myself to try and fix it but to no avail.
![[image loading]](http://www.speedtest.net/result/1591090579.png) Above is my speed, which is standard and I always used to be able to watch with it(crappy net I know). My download speeds have remained the same, I've noticed no other change during my internet browsing today after installing the new OS. (watched some TV shows, read TL, Reddit, etc.)
So I used the resource monitor to see if anything strange was going on (nothing running in the background, etc) and I came across this.
![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/T4k8O.png) That is it at regular speed (with how much it receives).
Then what willl happen is it starts lagging to all hell and the Receive (B/sec) just plummets. pictured below

Then after that has happened for 3-4minutes it just goes back to normal and stops lagging but its a cycle going back and forth between lag and smooth and is actually pretty frustrating.
Now I guess the problem is to find out why the number of bytes received just drops completely but I have no clue whatsoever So your help would be greatly appreciated!
I have to go to bed now, so I won't be able to respond straight away, but I'll be up early, so thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
edit: Here is pingtest results if needed at all.

It is very possible that the Gom TV servers are overloaded or having an issue. Since it only started for you "today" I think it's a little extreme to jump to the conclusion that the problem is on your end. I would wait a day and see if the issue continues.

There were no other complaints about it from other people last night.
Stream is a bit iffy tonight atm but hopefully it straightens out.
The drop is still happening for me atm

This is still happening, only seems to happen with the GOM player. Was able to watch MLG all weekend with no problems.

Yeah I recoignised the username.
I was shown the thread a few months ago and have been a lurker since. I rang iiNet about it last month, they said they arent likely to fix it because its got nothing to do with them.
I have not had a good GSL experience over the last few months I should post in there one day... lol

It's interesting that they said to you that nothing will be done, that is quite different to what they are saying on whirlpool...
In response to them I would say how they are route traffic is somewhat in their control, and they can do something about that.

I have no idea what they are doing, I read their long response from the other day but don't really care for "we have no answer". I'm not technically at an equal level to them at all so I don't want to argue with them about things I don't understand. Ultimately I am keeping track of the thread so I know when I can watch some GSL with the same lag-less quality as before.

I get the same issue. In the player, slow video playback to 90% for a minute or so, and then put it back at 100%. It will then have a buffer to draw from and run smoothly, though you will be delayed 5+ sec from live

Using a different ISP now as well (much superior as well), so I'm assuming it's something to do with my computer some days it is fine others it wont stop
