Random FPS and GPU usage spikes.

Hey, so basicly my computer just random do GPU usage spikes causing fps spikes while i play sc2

My computer has:

Motherboard: Gigabyte 870A-UD3
CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1055T
GPU: Nvidia Geforce 460 GTX 768mb
RAM: 2x4GB DDR3 G-Skill 1600 Mhz
HDD: 1TB only using about 250 gb
PSU: Advance 650W
OS: Windows 7 (64 bit)

So that shows that while im doing something in sc2, the GPU usage just spikes randomly and causes the FPS to drop ( note: thats only the menu, and i play on low )
CPU stays around 65 degrees C.
I've updated all drivers ( unless i forgot one )

I don't really know what to do, ask something i forgot anything.

It's not uncommon for a Phenom II 1055T to struggle somewhat in late game because SC2 doesn't use all 6 of the cores. It only uses a % of 2 cores most of the time.

Since the Phenom II 1055T is a lower-clocked (2.8 Ghz) 6-core, it's going to struggle in later stages of the game, even more so than say a Phenom II X4 955 4-core clocked at 3.2 Ghz.

So, if that's what you're talking about, it's normal. Lower some of the CPU settings. It's on the Graphics sub-section of Options. When you highlight it, it'll tell you which options are based on CPU or GPU. I believe it's Physics, Reflections, and Reflections that are affected.

Also, try to clean your CPU heatsink (and other fans). 65C is kind of toasty for a Phenom.

Thing is its happening in the menu. And all my graphic options are on lowest
